Washington cannot fix the illegal alien problem alone; they won't anyway. Witness how far our imperial Senate is out of touch with the public they are sworn to serve. Their overwhelming vote for amnesty makes this obvious. Our president, unfortunately, is leading this disgraceful abandonment of his American Public. What can we do? Vote, of course, but influence where you can first. Boycott the businesses that hire illegals. Push your officials into investigating those that use illegals - write, call, visit. Write your school boards asking for a count of how many illegals are being educated in our schools for free. Make examples out of those that are letting this go on. Otherwise, you get what they decided for you and you have no grounds for complaining.

Vincente Fox wants 70-million from his drug-driven country to invade the U.S. -- Not for any temporary period of time and not for the millions of dollars his illegals send back...But, for the "power of the vote" these illegals have arrogantly threatened as our gutless politicians sell-out the sovereignty of the United States of America. Perhaps the bigger picture is their dream of a "sphere of influence that would be the Americas" within a tri-lateralized one-world government.

This article by Cinnamon Stillwell tells the sad truth about the RINO's, most DEM's and President Bush. The President had a golden opportunity to remedy the illegal immigration by supporting the House bill and acting executively to seal the border, which is what most Americans want and hopefully are prepared to demand. I believe that failure to secure the border is derilection of duty, a Constitutional duty. Offering weak or ineffective gesstures in the face of the gate-crashing invasion we have been enduring cannot be tolerated. We must continue to send the message to Congress and the President that the border must be sealed no kidding, no excuses.

To Ron- What you are not realizing that if these illegals attain citizenship, atttain a higher wage, and attempt to live the American dream with the hopes of having a government that will protect his/her rights, protect the sovereignty of the country, and respect the citizenship granted upon them, they will be greatly disapppointed. The move from illegal to citizen will be very transparent as millions more illegals once again take the jobs "Americans won't do." This is cycle that needs to be stopped, not given lip service. Shame on any politician who does not believe in protecting the sovereignty of the United States. My prediction is nothing will be done of any substance, no democratic running for office has the heart or votes to propose it, and republicans have proven to be a miserable failure on the issue. The only chance real reform had was with a conservative majority in both houses and the White House. The Republicans have this majority, but as consistently proven, these are no conservatives.
"It's better to be hated for who you are than loved for who your not ." End the RINO reign of terror over the once proud Republican Party.

One point I haven't heard mentioned yet is that while politicians only see prospective voters in this issue, business only sees cheap labor and "jobs Americans won't do". The thing not mentioned is that once these illegals get citizenship, they won't have to work those low-wage jobs and can demand better pay in the jobs they are doing. Unions will be in there in a flash to sign them up and push up the wages. Business can kiss cheap labor goodbye. Someone needs to point this out.

It is common knowledge the lower income brackets do what they can to "beat the system" by not paying taxes, bills, rent, insurance, etc.. But the "system" is basically large enough to engulf it. Which basically means the middle class pays extra to account for it. But can they continue to pay to support the millions being added to the list. Or more specifically will the lower middle class even want to, or will millions of them also begin behaving like the lower class who don’t pay, simply because they no longer see any benefit in doing so. I mean face it, if you can get access to welfare, free health care, a $10 an hour job that doesn’t have FICA taxes and others taken out, and your already living in a poor area of town, why not opt out? You’ll have more money in your pocket. It is already happening slowly but surely. Soon it will be en masse. There is no stopping this rolling stone. 20-30 million? Try 100 million. The well will run dry. And when it does, God help us all.

Newly elected government or freshly passed laws will not fix the problem illegal aliens have caused in America. American businesses hire illegals. American health systems provide free service to illegals. American schools provide free education to illegals. Our American Senate has decided that illegals should be provided Social Security benefits on illegally derived income. Don't blame the illegals. Look in the mirror.
