Too lazy to have children ourselves, we have created an unofficial "rent-a-womb" guest worker program.
Want to know why the government refuses to stop illegal immigration? Read the US Census Bureau numbers.
Non-Hispanic whites make up 67 percent of the population, but they accounted for only 19 percent of the nation’s total population growth. While the nation as a whole is 36.2 years old, the white majority is, on average, 40.3 years old. Only 22% of the white population is under the age of 18, even though 25% of the total population is under 18.
What It Means In English
America's Caucasian population is, by and large, over 40, and they are getting older, not younger. They haven’t had enough children over the last twenty years. They are largely past all opportunity to have any more. They're done.
The Whining Generation can complain all it wants about the changes in America’s culture, but it is kind of absurd. They got what they asked for – a life of partying and little responsibility. As a result, the next generation won’t look like them. Sorry.
America’s blacks are somewhat better off, but only on a theoretical basis. Blacks account for about 17% of total population growth; that is, they are growing even more slowly than the Caucasian population. American blacks have roughly three times as many abortions as American whites, so the fact that the two groups have similar rates of population growth is a strong statement about lost opportunities.
Black America's future is bright on paper. The median age of black America is 30 years old, compared to 36.2 for the whole nation. There are still lots of young blacks, enough to have a chance to recover. But, in order to do that, they have to stop killing their babies.
Given the enormous social pressure on blacks to abort, this seems unlikely. It is estimated that up to 70% of Planned Parenthood’s abortion clinics are deliberately located in minority neighborhoods. Indeed, in 1993, Ron Weddington, one of the lawyers who litigated Roe V. Wade in front of the Supreme Court, wrote a letter praising President Clinton’s support for abortion, since it reduced the poor population.
These pressures have created a forty-year habit of abortion in America’s black culture. As a result, it seems unlikely that blacks will be able to reverse the cultural trend. They may have the youth, but legal abortion will see to it that America’s black population continues to decrease as a percentage of the total population.
Similarly, while Asians, American Indians and Pacific Islanders all have much younger populations (median ages of 33, 30.7 and 28.2, respectively), their actual numbers are so low to begin with that it hardly matters. They won’t be contributing much to the structure of the culture in the next few decades.
The Baby Pay-Off
When we look at the various subpopulations in the United States, there is no way to generate enough children to support white baby boomers in their old age. American politicians will only be re-elected if the elderly vote for them. The elderly will vote for them only if they have all their needs met, i.e., servants taking care of them.
Thus, politicians recognize that they need a population with an enormous economic incentive to have children in the United States. Whites are too old and too comfort-driven to have children, black children aren’t wanted, and the rest of the subpopulations are too small in terms of actual numbers to have any real effect on increased fertility.
Enter the Hispanic “anchor baby.”
The Great White Hope
The people who will shape America’s culture for the foreseeable future are the Hispanics. They accounted for 49% of America’s population growth: 800,000 births, 500,000 immigrants. With a median age of 27.2 years, Hispanics have the youngest of all the populations in the United States. While roughly one-fourth of the general population is under 18, one-third of the Hispanic population fits in that category.
Now, why do we allow all that illegal immigration? Look around.
Russia pays its women to have babies but finds no takers. Norway and Sweden have only been marginally more successful, while even France – which has provided the most successful payoff of the bunch – cannot get the fertility rate up to replacement level.
The populations of all European countries are (a) dropping and (b) becoming Muslim. Within fifty years, we will be faced with a much smaller Europe that is much more Islamic and probably more militant. America answers this problem by creating enormous incentives for Hispanics to enter the country and have babies here instead of in Mexico. If the plan works, the elderly white baby boomers will all have their noses wiped at appropriate intervals by young Hispanic nurses and will therefore keep today's politicians in office. But there is more.
The white baby boomers will all be dead in fifty years, either via natural causes or euthanasia. But if the Hispanic replacement population is successfully purchased from Mexico (which will experience its own population replacement problems within the next decade), America’s population will (a) not drop and (b) still be Judeo-Christian.
Americans who know how to read the numbers and who want America to survive an increasingly Islamic century understand this. Today, the person who is doing the most to assure America's future is the pregnant illegal immigrant. Too lazy to have children ourselves, we have created an unofficial "rent-a-womb" guest worker program.
So, while the Whining Generation throws a tantrum, screaming that it is unjust to expect anyone their age to learn the Spanish word for “fajita,” George W. Bush and subsequent presidents will continue to make sure America’s borders remain porous. There really isn’t anything else to do.

Blunt, and a little stinging, but definitly the truth. Especially in regards to what is happening to the black and lower income populations due to the effects of abortion. I remember when my grandmother was near death is mostly her family that took care of her, she was a poor woman who could not afford healthcare. What will happen to those who can’t afford healthcare when they’re in thier 60s’, 70s’ etc, and have no children to rely on?
I think that the problem is that our economy is still based on the old demographic; that is that a younger more populous (and hopefully prosperous) generation, will support the retirement and medical care of the older generation. Now as the author points out, white America’s “laziness” has changed this demographic, and the rapid influx of hard working, prolific, illegal aliens is coming to our aid.
While I highly doubt that politicians have any sort of secret agenda to lower the average age of America by “any means necessary”, if they do they should use caution. Our politicians should realize that not only is the ratio of young to old important in maintaining the old economic system, the affluence of the younger generation also plays a big part. Presently we find that the economic contributions of illegal immigrants are lower than those of previous generations; in fact it is possible that these illegals receive more from the system than they contribute. Not to mention the fact that many illegal aliens have no intention of properly assimilating.
The author is completely preoccupied with the issue of family size in this article, seeing it as a litmus test for the ethical health of various cultures. The author seems to feel that the greater the moral integrity of the culture, the more children they will have -the exception being of course those fertile Muslims- but fails to address the ethics of having children you are unable to support, and forcing others to care for them (i.e. through a failed welfare system).
Finally there is the inescapable truth that the world can only support a finite population. While we can argue numbers until we are blue in the face, we must recognize that future generations cannot indefinitely procreate past the replacement level of 2.1 children per family. That means at some point in time, a generation of people like us will be burdened by having to decide how to care for their elders in an economy based on the old demographic.
Exactly right! I said this very thing on Pittsburgh’s cable television PCNC on 5/19/06, though not nearly as eloquently. The fact is 20% of women born in the late 50′s simply never had any kids, the rest had too few to replace the population. Thank you very much gender feminism, and the men like myself who, at the time, went along with this nonsense. White American women of the baby boomer generation were just too important to have children. Abortion? Dandy. Kids? The problem that has no name.
Abortion’s consequences for America and indeed for the whole world (Europe,Russia), but not so with the Islamists. Entire generations wiped out by infanticide.
“Those who plow iniquity And sow trouble reap the same.”
Absolutely! Now we reap the whirlwind of feminizm, the gay movement and all the other distractions of the last 40 years. And why, you ask, did we dive head first into such total narcissism? Because we could! Ignoring the fragility of life, the inevitability of the grave, and all the other little unpleasantries that people used to hear about on a weekly basis in church, it’s just indulge, indulge, indulge. Say what you like about mexicans, and ignoring for a moment the academic fashionista “reconquista” faction, they are nominally christians. They are our demographic ace in the hole against the cancer of islam.
Your article raises some important issues in the conversation on immigration. Yet I notice you have neglected to factor “carrying capacity” into your analysis of these demographic shifts. Dr. Virginia Abernethy defines “carrying capacity” as “the number of individuals that an area can support without sustaining damage.” She says that “carrying capacity is exceeded if so many individuals use an area that their activities cause deterioration in the very systems that support them. Exceeding the carrying capacity sometimes harms an environment so severely that the new number who can be supported is smaller than the original equilibrium population.” She argues that the carrying capacity of the US has already been exceeded, and for this reason “we probably cannot hope, in the long term, to maintain a standard of living that much resembles what we now enjoy.”
In the discussion of immigration, ethnic populations, and economic contribution, it seems to me the notion of “carrying capacity” needs to be considered.
Mr. Kellmeyer has a pretty jaundiced view of my generation (i.e., baby-boomers). Judging from some of the responses, he’s not alone. He gives us no clue which generation he belongs to, but I have to assume he’s from a younger generation than that spawned by WWII. I am not sure why he dubs us as “whiners”. What exactly does he feel we whine about? Is it our frequent lament regarding the way our kids turn out so poorly compared to our own parent’s kids? Perhaps, he thinks we whine too much about the state of our country, believing it was a better country when government was less heavy handed and the people less demanding of entitlements. Or perhaps, it is the prospect of your generation having to care for mine that you deem whiney; despite no one yet having asked it of you.
My generation has no corner on whininess, and yours (whichever it may be) is no less whiney. None of us has been tested the way my parents generation was (i.e., your grand or great-grandparents). That is, in some ways, unfortunate. To that degree we are all whiners, and I accept the verdict.
Yet, my generation has done some things that make us less whiney. Some of us did go to places like Vietnam, serve our country, work hard to give our kids a better life, and kept the faith of G-d and country. I, myself, was in the Navy, have a brother who served in the Coast Guard, and another who’s a Vietnam veteran. I worked hard to make more of myself and never asked help to get anywhere. My parents did not pay for my extra schooling, the house I own, or any other thing once I’d left the nest. Yet, I owe them for all of that and more. What they did give me was a good start by instilling strong values. If I raised just one kid to replenish the gene pool, it was only because I did not chance to marry sooner. I support my family, and have supported others at times. I typically work 12-hour days, often working weekends and overtime for which I’m rarely compensated. Lately, my wife and I have been spending a lot of our time, money, and effort sustaining her 90/94-year old parents, who need intensive care but understandably want to avoid a nursing home. That means we spend many hours each day checking on them, managing their assets, and repairing all the things falling apart in their house. It would be much easier on us to stick them in some nursing home; yet, we appreciate all they’ve done for us and respect their desire to stay independent. In addition to all that, we have a disordered son, whose instability makes holding down jobs, caring for parents, and seeing to his needs a stretch on our endurance. I give more than I get, yet I never complain of having been dealt an unfair hand. I see myself as having been uncommonly blessed, both by G-d, by family, and by the country into which I was born. We feel blessed to have had parents who cared for us, to whom we now give back in some small measure; and our son, despite his problems, is our hope for the future. I am not in anyway exceptional of my generation. Whiney? Perhaps, each of us should take stock of our own glass-house before casting such appellations at others.
Kellmeyer is not the first to broach this idea we need illegal immigration to repopulate this country. If illegal immigration can potentially provide this, wouldn’t legal immigration do the same thing and do it better. The argument for sealed borders is not anti-immigrant, as some here seem to think. It is anti- “uncontrolled” immigration. We want to have greater say in who gets in, not simply how many. We want people with no demonstrated disposition to outlawry. We want people who are not only hard working, but who want to become citizens and not supplant us in favor of some foreign power or foreign culture. We want people who make America a stronger, brighter place to live; and not a place where fear drives us into separate corners. Right now, a fair percentage of those stealing across our borders are lawless types who only add to everyone’s burden; not lessen it. If in future, you youngsters have to contend with wiping my butt, you will also be contending (at the same time) with holding the lawless from cutting your throats, stealing your nest eggs (the ones you plan to retire on), and stealing your country from under your noses (an awful lot of these illegals support the reconquista movement).
At the root of all illegal entry is a crime, the crime of forcible entry into someone else’s home. Anyone who engages in such a crime or supports it is not an asset to our national home. If such a person has no regard for our borders, how much regard will they have for our other laws or property? I don’t care how depleted this country becomes, we don’t need that sort to make up the disparity. We have always been an innovative people who find ways to get things done. Only a short time ago, the main argument was we need illegal-aliens to pick our fruit. Then somebody showed us that wasn’t really true, that other means had been devised to pick fruit that did not depend on cheap foreign labor. Then someone said we need them to do jobs Americans will not do, only to be shown the reality Americans want those jobs as much as aliens, except agribusiness doesn’t want to pay a decent wage and gets away with paying substantially lower wages to illegals. Now, we have people buying into this argument we need these people, not for now but, for some distant future. I find it very convenient that no one will be able to prove or disprove this particular theory for, at least, another generation; by which time we will have been overrun by illegal aliens and have no further recourse but to accommodate ourselves to them. It has, in common with environmentalism, an hysteria factor to it: ‘We better do this now because, if we wait, it will be too late later’. Personally, I’m not buying this with regard to illegal aliens any more than I do the environmentalist hysteria. If we find we need them later, we’ll let them in later. Trust me. They’ll come running whenever we reopen the flood gates. In the meantime, let’s keep our cool.
This article implies that there is not a hispanic abortion problem. There are too many hispanic babies aborted as well as other races. The blacks ought to read what Margaret Sanger the founder if planned barrenhood had in mind for them. They should be ashamed for they are supporting eugenics and harming their race. Now if we flood our county with nominally sane quasi-religious people will it save us from Islamic dhimmitude? History shows that a few fanatical muslims can drive terror into the hearts of multitudes. The only thing that ever stopped them is quite a few courageous and well armed men. Illegals are not in the same category as legal immigrants who haved pledged loyalty to the U. S.
When I first stumbled upon this site, I thought that perhaps it was for Intellectually conservative people: academic and philosophically oriented people who thought about things thoroughly and tried to free themselves from intellectual prejudices and emotional fanaticism. However, it has now become clear to me that this website is for intellectual Conservatives: those who have already assumed the blinders of a conservative position, and attempt to justify it using logical gymnastics.
I have an issue with the “lazy white person” label. I am white and I work two jobs 7 days a week, one is Monday through Friday and the other is a weekend job. When I get home from either job, I do yardwork and house work. To top that off I am involved with keeping the gambling scourge from taking over my town. I know many “white” people who work just as hard as I do. I am sick and tired of hearing the lazy white BS from so called conservatives. To hear you people talk you’d think the death or genocide of all white people is just around the corner. While demographics are changing, there will be plenty of white people in America. In 50 years the Hispanic population will be an aging population. What then? As they move up the societal ladder and become more affluent, will they too become “lazy hispanics” and stop having 8 children per family? Will Hispanic women chase the American dream and not have children in favor of a career? It really is not the end of the world for anyone. As conservatives we should be more concerned about equal rights for everyone, regardless of race, limiting the scope of government, and the ultimate spiritual destination of mankind.
