Jefferson and Washington fought a war for the principle of independence, meaning the moral right of an individual to live his own life as he sees fit. To say that we're a nation of immigrants is not an argument for allowing Hispanics to impose their language and culture upon the United States. As we celebrate our day of independence and freedom, we should be thankful for our new minutemen and the men most responsible for them — Ronald W. Reagan and George W. Bush. |
