By placing them in opposition to 'Black consciousness' you imply that such careers as these are stereotypically for whites. Maybe they are, I'm sure there are proportionally more whites IN those jobs than Blacks, but that can change. Very good. Based on BET/MTV it looks like quite a few. "The personality of Black America will not change in our lifetime." Does your exposure to BET/MTV change your conclusion? Admittedly, those people are living in "black settings", however, they are reaching the minds and influencing the actions of black and white society on each street corner in each neighborhood.
