I love the irony. The arbitrary restrictions the government selectively places on just about everything. For example, at 18 years of age, you can join the military (where you can kill and be killed while operating millions of dollars worth of equipment), you can buy tobacco products (which WILL kill you, given enough use), you can get married and have children (it's not like you need any special knowledge or training for that), you can own firearms, but you cannot have a drink at a bar or place a bet in a casino -- how could you possibly be ready for that kind of responsibility?! Oh, and don't neglect your legal obligation to fasten your seatbelt when you get into your car (which affects no one but yourself), or to put on your helmet when you ride your bicycle - that's dangerous! But enjoy a nice cigar and a stiff drink and hit the road - with your seatbelt on, of course, and make it a light beer from here on out.

Only in a liberal city can this be taken seriously. It amazing how well Dems and Libs can see provacy rights out of killing a unborn child, but see no ill in telling a person what they can and can't it. The GOP of New York needs to cut Bloomberg now. He and other RINO's are causing the slow death of conservatism.
