This is a brilliant, courageous column from the most intelligent sports commentator currently writing.

BTW, I missed the Chargers-Chiefs game tonight, but caught the end, with La Dainian Tomlinson being interviewed. He kept praising his blockers, and speaking of "we," as in "If we win the MVP, it will be the icing on the cake."

Wow. Finally some truth about the great Muhammed Ali (I like to call him by his real name Cassius Clay.) Cassius Clay was the first high profile, America hating muslim. He must glory in the words of current Iranian President against America and Israel. And Clay was the first egotistical, distrispectful pro athlete in what was to be a long line of pro's who like to "stick it to the man" while taking his money.

Ali was a great fighter, but as I like to point out, he lost at least three fights, Joe Frazier, Leon Spinks, and Larry Holmes (granted Ali was way past his prime against Holmes). Ken Norton was outright robbed in a fight at Yankee Stadium against the great Ali. Norton pummeled Ali for twelve or so rounds, even broke his jaw. Ali won the last few rounds and the biased judges gave the fight to Ali, the current champ, pointing out that Norton didn't beat up the champ enough to take the title from him. An outrage in the boxing world.

The only picture I like to see of Ali is Chuck Wepner, the Bayonne Bleeder, standing over Ali after he knocked him down. Wepner a washed up club fighter, went 15 rounds with Ali when he wasnted suppose to last 2 or 3 rounds at the most.

What a disgrace to put this man on such a pedestal.
