Knoxville Horror: Trial Dates Set; MSM “Discovers” Case; Bloggers Continue Spreading Rumors

 by Nicholas Stix

For months the mainstream media has ignored the kidnapping, gang-rape, and murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom.

The MSM is finally starting, ever so modestly, to report on Tennessee’s Knoxville Horror, even as far from the crime scene as Denver! (A tip o’ the hat to Modern Tribalist.)

On May 17, Knox County Criminal Court Judge Richard Baumgartner announced that the four defendants charged with having kidnapped, robbed, gang-raped, murdered, desecrated the corpses of, and stolen from Channon Christian, 21, and Christopher Newsom, 23, will each have a separate trial, each of which Judge Baumgartner foresees – perhaps a tad optimistically – as lasting two weeks.  The state indictments can all be read here.

Newsom was anally gang-raped, and then murdered several hours after being kidnapped; Christian was vaginally, orally, and anally gang-raped, and murdered approximately 24 hours after the couple was kidnapped. At one point, one or more of the defendants allegedly also poured cleaning fluid down the presumably then still living Christian’s throat, but a false report by Michelle Malkin notwithstanding, none of the defendants has been charged with torture.

(Speaking of false reporting, 99 percent of the bloggers and Web sites I have read on the case, even Court TV’s usually reliable Crime Library, have been content to uncritically regurgitate an unsourced rumor that I traced back to neo-Nazi New York State radio host Hal Turner, whereby the killers chopped off the living Christopher Newsom’s penis and at least one of the living Channon Christian’s breasts. The largely neoconservative bloggers in question, who claim to hate neo-Nazis, and who tar as a white supremacist anyone who is not racially correct, do not appreciate being told where they got their “facts” on the case. On May 18, after a four-month-long stonewalling campaign by law enforcement and justice officials, Knox County District Attorney Randy Nichols’ special assistant, John Gill, insisted that the Internet rumors of sexual mutilation are “absolutely not true.” Gill’s statement has so far had no effect on the bloggers, and authorities in Knoxville have still not released the autopsy reports on the victims.)

George Geovonni Thomas, 24, is charged with having shot Newsom to death and set his corpse on fire. Christian may have been strangled.

According to a February 1 report by Fox News’ Knoxville affiliate, WATE 6 News, at least one of the killers dismembered Christian, placing her body parts in five separate garbage bags and putting the bags in a garbage can in the kitchen of the apartment of defendant-brothers Letalvis Darnell Cobbins, 24, and Lemaricus Devall Davidson, 25, where police found the bags. Between the February 1 report and May 17, the dismemberment of Channon Christian was no longer included in any of the reports this reporter has seen; I only came into possession of the aforementioned report on May 17, thanks to a reader’s help. Coincidentally, that same day, a report on Knoxville’s WVLT-TV 8 News spoke vaguely of police “finding Channon Christian stuffed in garbage bags.”

It is not known whether the killers murdered Christian first, or began dismembering her while she was still alive, something for which there is a precedent among black racist torture-killers of whites.

Ex-con Letalvis Cobbins, alias Letalvis Davidson (convicted of felony third-degree attempted robbery on May 19, 2003, in Queens, NY – he just celebrated his anniversary!), is scheduled for trial on May 12, 2008. Cobbins is indicted on 46 Tennessee state felony counts, including aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, aggravated rape, felony murder, premeditated murder and theft.

Cobbins’ girlfriend, Vanessa Coleman, 18, was indicted on 40 state felony counts, including aggravated rape, felony murder, and premeditated murder. In a touching courtroom moment on May 17, according to WVLT-TV 8 reporter Gordon Boyd, Coleman “mouthed the words, ‘I love you’ as she was led out.” Coleman’s trial is set to begin on June 16, 2008.

Coleman was referred to in initial reports in January as a “witness” rather than as a suspect, and was a source of much material that eventually went into the case against her and her fellow defendants. An able defense attorney would try and spin Coleman’s cooperation into a mitigating factor at trial, and if she is convicted, during the sentencing phase. (Although Tennessee is a death-penalty state, Knox County District Attorney Randy Nichols has inexplicably refused to reveal whether he will seek the death penalty.) How loving Cobbins is presently feeling about Coleman’s cooperation with federal agents and local police may be another matter entirely.

Cobbins’ ex-con brother, Lemaricus Davidson (convicted in 2001 of federal carjacking charges, a death penalty-eligible crime, and in spite of being a problem prisoner – but who among us is perfect? – served but a token sentence of at most five years, and was released only shortly before his alleged crime spree), was charged with the same 46 counts as Cobbins, and is scheduled to go on trial for them on July 14, 2008. (According to published reports, Eric Dewayne Boyd, 34, told federal agents that Davidson had confessed to him that he had murdered – “choked” – Channon Christian.)

In addition to the initial 46-count indictment handed down against Davidson on February 1, he was recently indicted on six additional felony counts in the January 8 armed robbery of a local Pizza Hut employee, the attempted armed robbery of a female customer in the restaurant, and weapons possession charges. (Not noticing that Davidson allegedly had a gun trained on her when he allegedly tried to grab the customer’s purse, she resisted, and the “bewildered” robber was allegedly left holding the ripped strap.)

Davidson’s next court date in the Pizza Hut case is September 27.

Thus, the allegations so far are that beginning in the wee hours, Davidson spent all of January 7 variously carjacking, kidnapping, robbing, torturing and gang-raping Christopher Newsom and Channon Christian, and murdering Christian, and then headed out the next day, to rob people at the Pizza Hut. Busy fellow, he.

Ex-con George Thomas, likewise indicted on the same 46 counts, is scheduled for trial on August 11, 2008. Thomas is charged with having shot Newsom to death. Deputy U.S. Marshall Rich Knighten reportedly said that Davidson wept when he was arrested.

Ex-con Eric Boyd has been charged federally, in U.S. District Court in Knoxville, with “being an accessory after the fact to carjacking,” for having allegedly helped Davidson flee apprehension. Boyd’s trial date has yet to be set. Boyd has not been charged with any of the state crimes. (Michelle Malkin also erroneously reported that Boyd was charged in the murders, kidnappings, and rapes of Christian and Newsom.)

Cobbins, Davidson, and Thomas were also charged federally with carjacking and two counts of federal weapons felonies, but at the request of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, a federal judge dismissed the federal charges “without prejudice” (meaning that they may later be reinstated), so that the Tennessee state prosecutions could go forward first.

Having separate, consecutive trials offers potential advantages to prosecutors. Earlier defendants may seek to impute all guilt for the crimes they are charged with to defendants who have yet to be tried, and may provide a wealth of information that can be used against their alleged accomplices. Or they could simply be fonts of misinformation and lies.

For an example of such gamesmanship in the present case, when Letalvis Cobbins and George Thomas were initially apprehended in Lebanon, KY, they reportedly claimed in affidavits to federal agents that Eric Boyd was in fact the rapist-murderer. So much for loyalty or gratitude.

It is not known whether Cobbins or Thomas has of late made any public expressions of love to Boyd.

Some black supremacist activists have, however, publicly expressed their love for Davidson, Cobbins, and Thomas.

On May 18, “Christopher Felon,” one of the contributors to the black supremacist Web site, Svengali Media, which celebrates all black-on-white racist atrocities, and has cheered the rapes, tortures, and murders of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom, left the following comments to my last column on the Christian-Newsom case:

Many blacks are pulling for Knoxville's 'SuperThug' & Carjacker Lemaricus Davidson to win the 2007 Sexiest & Hardest Ghetto Black Male Felon Bragging Rights competition for 2007. Others are still on the sideline as to whether it was appropriate for the competition editor, Kirkland Perkins, to waive the rapist disqualification rule and invoke the 'Emit Till' excuseable rape clause so Davidson and his brother could compete.

I soundly support Savannah's 'Slave Avenger' Michael 'Turtle' Thorpe. The family of Thorpe's victim, Jennifer Ross, owned slaves and never paid their reparations. This is keenly why Thorpe is Perkins *favorite* to win the 2007 Rights.

Voting online's been added. And it is exciting that Knoxville's George 'Detroit' Thomas received enough votes to qualify to compete! There's never been 3 competitors from the same city and for the same crime in the competition ever!

Knoxville's George 'Detroit' Thomas DID QUALIFY TO COMPETE in this year's Bragging Rights Competition!

The more one learns about this case, the less justifiable the four-month-long national media blackout becomes. One could devote entire three-hour blocks of cable news time exclusively to this story, without ever having to use the endless loops or even partial repeat passages on which cable news relies for filler with big stories, while enjoying blockbuster ratings. How did the media suddenly develop an allergy to making money?

  1. Nicholas Stix, rather recklessly, is spreading an Internet race hoax along with his reports about the Knoxville murders. The “black supremacist” website that Stix mentions isn’t a black site at all. This is the svengalimedia/Yacub 7 Ali hoax.

It began six months ago, tied to a different black-on-white crime – the “Savannah Debutante Murder.” The hoaxster, using multiple pseudonyms on multiple interrelated websites and blogs, masquerades as a cult of “Negro Sun Worshippers” under the guidance of “Prophet Yacub 7 Ali.” Members of this make-believe cult, in addition to celebrating the murders of whites, brag about their ability to inflict skin cancers on white people with just a look.

The proof that it’s all a sick joke is here… a webpage where the hoaxster himself describes svengalimedia as “cynical humor, more offensive than amusing.”

Why Nicholas Stix would report this hoax as fact is a mystery to me.

I have blogged about the svengalimedia/Yacub 7 Ali hoax here and here.

  2. David Mills, or as I call him, The Blogger Cried Wolf, is repeating a stunt he successfully pulled last year against Lawrence Auster. He targets right-of-center white intellectuals to try and get them silenced. Mills has not proven anything, because he has no evidence that this is a hoax, and can't even keep his own lies straight. Now he insinuates that this is the work of white supremacists, now he insists that he never said any such thing.

As I wrote in response to his initial charges, I welcome him proving them. Instead, he is simply loudly repeating his charges, without proof, at every publication that runs my work, in the hopes that he'll cause my editors to panic and silence me, the way he got David Horowitz to panic and silence Lawrence Auster. Mills is a despicable coward.

    Dear David,

Thanks for writing. I just shelved a long response I began, because I have other pieces I have to get back to. So, here's the short answer: If you can prove, or at least provide persuasive evidence that Svengali, et al., are hoax sites run by white nationalists or white supremacists, I'm all ears. But the mere fact that the writers use funny-sounding pseudonyms and run interlocking sites fails to make your case. The content of the sites is consistent with what I have seen of black supremacy in America both first-hand since my childhood, and since 1990 as a student of the movement/phenomenon, including melanin madness. But if you can prove otherwise, more power to you. I'll salute you, and I won't even try to get you fired from your day job.

    Nicholas Stix

P.S. If it's a race hoax, it's one of the most brilliant ones I've ever seen.

  3. So Nicholas Stix believes there is a black cult leader out there named Yacub 7 Ali, and that he’s teaching his followers – the “Negro Sun Worshippers” – how to re-radiate ultraviolet light so as to inflict skin cancers on white people? Glad we cleared that up.

I am not trying to silence Nicholas Stix. I never heard of Nicholas Stix until his piece was published in American Renaissance two weeks ago.

What I’m trying to do is contain this nutty Svengalimedia/Yacub 7 Ali hoax. Alas, Stix is the closest thing to a real journalist to pick up this ludicrous fiction and run with it as fact. His fingers have been busy this month, giving this hoax traction on the Internet.

Stix’s two articles lending credence to Svengalimedia as an authentic “black supremacist” website have been posted on three of his own websites; have been published by at least six other opinion sites (including Blogcritics yesterday and Global Politician today); and have been reproduced by eight other bloggers, as well as David Horowitz’s DiscoverTheNetworks site.

No good can come from spreading bad information.

  4. David Mills' m.o. is to act like a cool, freewheeling blogger, and then target right-of-center white intellectuals with poison pen letters to try and get them silenced. He pulled the same stunt last year and again this year, against Lawrence Auster, and now he's targeting me. He sent just such a letter to my Blogcritics editor, Eric Olsen, yesterday, and today I guess he's sending it to my other editors. The response I sent to Olsen yesterday follows. (And if Mills hadn't used Svengali Media as his pretext, it would have been something else.)

Re: You're spreading the “svengalimedia” hoax…

    Dear Eric,

    The Hunchmeister

David has a hunch. A hunch is not proof, and a hunch is not journalism, but the place where journalism begins. When Mills initially wrote to me, I began an involved response, but cut it short when I realized that I was going to miss a deadline on his behalf, and wrote a short reply, which I posted together with his assertion:

    http://nicholasstixuncensored.blogspot.com/2007/05/undercover-black-man-svengali-media-of.html

    What Maketh a Hoax?

    That the site (Svengali Media:
    http://www.svengalimedia.com/race/sexiest_black_male_felon_2006.html
) is produced by nutjobs has no bearing on whether it's a hoax. Black supremacists ARE nutjobs. (Very dangerous, violent nutjobs, I might add.) That the writers largely use obvious pseudonyms likewise has no bearing on whether it's a hoax. I did some of my best journalism using pseudonyms, I know brilliant journalists who use them, and I heartily recommend their use to freelancers and whistleblowers who want to tell the truth and keep their day jobs. (Actually, quite a few people think I am presently using a pseudonym. Years ago, my wife concluded that newspaper editors who rejected all of my submissions didn’t believe my name was real; when I sent them stuff under a more normal-sounding pseudonym, they immediately bought it. Nick Stix is a better name for a comic than a journalist.)

Obviously, these guys are not doing this, in order to tell the truth.

Initially, David Mills strongly insinuated that a white supremacist was singlehandedly producing the site and its satellites. I responded that if it's a hoax, it's one of the most brilliant ones I've ever seen. It has the distinct flavor of black supremacism, as I have known it both firsthand since childhood, and through studying its “literature” since 1990. Black supremacists celebrate any act of violence against whites (and Asians, too, but they tend to be less obsessed with them), the more gruesome, the better. Interestingly, if it is a hoax, it is the first I know of in which whites imitated black supremacists; all the others I've found involved blacks imitating white supremacists.

But again, this is just David’s hunch.

Personally, I have never come across a white supremacist with this sort of literary talent. The Svengali sites have several different writers or at least authorial names, writing in several different styles and levels of literacy. If you check out sites like vnnforum or stormfront, you will find people of decidedly limited capacity.

    The Blogger Who Cried Wolf

But in a later post, David denied ever having said a white supremacist was behind the “hoax.” So, what does he really believe?

He has charted the person or persons behind this phenomenon moving from site to site, and put up some whois information. I intended to check it out, but on my schedule, not his. (I’ve got real commissions to complete; he appears to be between scripting gigs and at loose ends. Besides, David comes across to me as The Blogger Who Cried Wolf. He has a history of shouting that so-and-so is this-and-that (e.g., “racist,” in the case of Lawrence Auster, whose freelancing gig at Front Page Mag he sneakily got killed, when Mills sent a poison pen letter last year to David Horowitz, and the latter lost his nerve), and other people have a history of jumping at his charges. Just look at all the people who apparently swallowed his “hoax” hunch whole. I’m not jumping.

Having mirror sites is not evidence of a hoax. Hell, I have multiple blogs and Web sites; I do it so that more people will read my work. At present, there are roughly 6,499,900,000 people I’m not yet reaching.

Even if the person behind the site jumped ISPs, it wouldn’t prove anything; people probably periodically alert his providers that his site is what it is, and the providers shut him down for violating their guidelines. The same thing likely leads to his (or their) material being removed from newspaper message boards.

Someone who claims to be named “Larry Collins” posted a comment to David’s blog, claiming that Svengali is the work of his brother, “Steven,” that the brothers are white, and that all of the names associated with Svengali are the creations of “Steven Collins.”

    https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=4486244714643027014&postID=157786534719405525

There are three problems with “Larry Collins’” assertion. First, among the fake names “Larry Collins” lists is mine. Am I a creation of “Steven Collins”? Not that I know of. But maybe I’m lying. Or maybe, being “Collins’” creation, I’m unaware of my true identity. Secondly, a later post to the same thread with the same linked signature (“lc,” for “Larry Collins”), sounds like it was written by someone else altogether. Thirdly, I followed the “Larry Collins” link to his blogger page, and from there to his blog, “The Truth About On Svengali Media and Jou” ( http://svengali-truth.blogspot.com/ ), where he is supposed to be exposing this media “hoax,” and found … nothing. There’s no there there.

If anything, “Larry Collins” and his “blog” are the hoaxes.

That leaves us with … nothing.

And so, I am not going to get flustered and put on the defensive by The Blogger Who Cried Wolf. If I have some spare time, I’ll try and check out the whois information, but I am not going to waste my time on David Mills. If it’s a hoax, let him talk straight (no more ‘It’s a white supremacist/It’s not a white supremacist’), and hunt down the offender. Until then, he’s just spreading hysteria.

[IC – I just added this section: I have to admit that I am amazed – though not in a good way – by Mills’ ability to make baseless, hysterical charges against people, and cause other people to jump at his command.]

Now, if I were to act like David Mills and starting throwing hunches against the wall like hot spaghetti, to see what will stick, I’d wonder whether a certain race-obsessed, biracial, two-time Emmy Award-winning TV writer with too much time on his hands might be creating a hoax, just so he could sell a script about it. After all, aren’t Hollywood types always finding neo-Nazis and Klansmen under their beds? Say, a pilot – he’s been trying to sell another one for years – about an independently wealthy Internet sleuth who spends his time uncovering hoaxes. Call it, Web of Deceit, or some equally melodramatic pun.

But that’s just an irresponsible hunch. David must be rubbing off on me. Unless and until he proves his case, I see no reason to revise my article. Besides, as I said at the outset, David’s preoccupation is stuff for a separate article.

  5. I post from home, my wife sitting on my lap. We could have been Mr. Newsome and Miss Christian, though I am 41 and she is 26. My claymore sits in it's steel scabbard across her lap, and her naginata against the desk on which this computer sits. We don't go armed outside our home, and we own no firearms. I am a convicted federal felon out of sheer foolishness. I used to shoot every week, and I had 82 firearms and about 40,000 rounds of ammunition for them. That ended almost seven years ago.

My wife was taught the naginata as an adolescent. I needed no instruction in violence; quite the opposite. I made my brother-in-law a pair of very nice oyumi. One shoots quarrels, and the other shoots 3/8" slingshot ammunition down a 10mm barrel. I used matsu - pine - for the stocks. The buttplates are brass and everything else is blued steel. His wife likes oyumi ( crossbows.)

When we go out, we are unarmed, so the Knoxville Atrocity could have happened to us. A claymore sharp enough to shave with and a naginata much sharper than that are deemed impolite at restaurants, except when we were married in each of our traditional ethnic attire.

It could have happened to us, except for one thing. We each would have refused to go to a secondary crime scene with our attackers. They would have had to shoot us on the spot. Never go to a secondary crime scene. Not only will you not survive, but you will be horribly mistreated before you are allowed to die. If my wife and I must die at the hand of car-jackers, let it be the two of us, holding each other, inside our Saturn. If it must be at the hands of home-invaders, we'll have a lot of company, and our heirs will have to replace the carpet.

Your automobile is also a more lethal projectile than any handgun bullet. Never forget this.

    Comment by undercoverblackman | May 29, 2007

The Web page is merely quoting a character from the novel, Trilby, speaking about the character, "Svengali," which gave the world the notion of a "Svengali."

The character "Svengali" was famously played by John Barrymore in the eponymous 1931 movie.

To expand on what I said before, David Mills has a standard of "proof" that embraces any and every hunch, speculation, and even outright misunderstanding on his part, while rejecting evidence and logic on mine.

Comment by Nicholas Stix | June 1, 2007

  7. But Nick, why would a "black supremacist" website… a "black, anti-white" site… a site you believe is run by blacks who celebrate the murder of whites… why would such a site bother to quote a novel by George du Maurier (which most black people have never heard of) in the first place?

Why invoke the character of "Svengali" at all? What does Svengali have to do with the ideology of black supremacism? Svengali was a trickster, a manipulator… so it makes perfect sense for a hoax site to invoke his name.

Why can't you see the obvious? And if you've got "evidence and logic" on your side, why did the editors of Blogcritics.org remove all references to Svengalimedia from your article, calling the site "questionable" in their editors' note?

Watching you on these comment boards trying to write in the language of reason is like watching a guy who can't dance a lick, yet insists on flailing and thrashing about at every party, and everybody else is like, "Dude… get off the dancefloor. You ain't got no rhythm!"

And what about the hoaxster's own "Svengalimedia Exposed" post of a week ago… in which he himself writes: "DO NOT BE SVENGALIED BY SVENGALIMEDIA — WARNING: STAY AWARE OF ITS FODDER, BUT DON'T BUY THE PLOTS."

How can you possibly explain that away? At the end of the day, aren't you ashamed to have spread a race libel against black people all over the Internet?

  8. “But Nick, why would a ‘black supremacist’ website… a ‘black, anti-white’ site… a site you believe is run by blacks who celebrate the murder of whites… why would such a site bother to quote a novel by George du Maurier (which most black people have never heard of) in the first place?”

According to the “realistic,” ripped-from-the-headlines show, Law & Order, New York is full of ordinary black folks who are experts on French literature. In denying them such expertise, aren’t you ashamed to have spread a race libel against black people all over the Internet?

And I need to alert the reader to Mills’ switcheroo. He was just responding to my catching him misrepresenting a quote from a 19th century novel, and sophistically (or is it ignorantly?) turning it into a 21st century writer’s self-outing. So, is he embarrassed? Does he show some integrity, and admit that he screwed up? That I exposed him? Not on your life! He acts as though this is just more proof that he is right!

“Why invoke the character of ‘Svengali’ at all? What does Svengali have to do with the ideology of black supremacism? Svengali was a trickster, a manipulator… so it makes perfect sense for a hoax site to invoke his name.”

“Trickster” is the exact word that black nationalist columnist Errol Louis approvingly used in 2002 in his New York Sun obituary for black supremacist kidnapper-murderer-extortionist, Sonny Carson. But of course, if you knew anything about black supremacism or black nationalism, you’d know of the "trickster’s" significant historical role.

“Why can’t you see the obvious? And if you’ve got ‘evidence and logic’ on your side, why did the editors of Blogcritics.org remove all references to Svengalimedia from your article, calling the site ‘questionable’ in their editors’ note?”

What a disingenuous question! Evidence and logic had nothing to do with it. Why did David Horowitz whitelist Lawrence Auster? You know damned well what the answer is in both cases. Eric Olsen at Blogcritics and David Horowitz at Front Page Magazine were both intimidated by your poison pen letters, the same stunt that you pulled unsuccessfully at Intellectual Conservative.

If there were a competition for phony defenders of free speech, you’d be a leading contender. You publicly present yourself as supporting the freedom of speech rights of people whose politics you oppose, while secretly doing everything you can to get them fired, whitelisted, and silenced. You did it with Lawrence Auster, a man who towers over you intellectually like a giraffe over a cockroach, and so far, you’ve sent your poison pen letters to at least two of my editors, in seeking to do the same to me.

If you were any kind of journalist or intellectual, you’d do the damned research and prove your points. But you’re nothing but a racist bully and a coward. So you try to get people you disagree with silenced.

Somewhere on your blog you mention that you don’t know how Auster makes a living. Duh! If he let you find that out, you’d follow your m.o. and immediately send one of your patented poison pen letters to his employer, and do everything in your power to cause him to end up unemployable and homeless.

“Watching you on these comment boards trying to write in the language of reason is like watching a guy who can’t dance a lick, yet insists on flailing and thrashing about at every party, and everybody else is like, ‘Dude… get off the dancefloor. You ain’t got no rhythm!’”

Is that the best you can do? Instead of facts and arguments, you provide lies, images, and baseless claims which you repeat ad infinitum. And the images will only impress those who are already your allies, and/or who are ignorant of my work. I’ve published hundreds of major stories. I’ve broken many stories. Granted, you are a successful writer of TV fiction, but I’m not aware of any track record you have of breaking true stories in the real world.

“And what about the hoaxster’s own ’Svengalimedia Exposed’ post of a week ago… in which he himself writes: ‘DO NOT BE SVENGALIED BY SVENGALIMEDIA — WARNING: STAY AWARE OF ITS FODDER, BUT DON’T BUY THE PLOTS.’”

    “Comment by undercoverblackman | June 1, 2007”

That’s not his post, anymore than your post claiming he’s a hoaxer, was his post (which he also posted at his site)! This is at least the second time that I have caught you promoting as a Svengali self-outing something that wasn’t. Hell, Svengali even published a link to that fake blog that a hoaxer at your blog (assuming that wasn’t you) claimed exposed Svengali.

What is the “race libel against black people” I have spread “all over the Internet”? Anyone who knows anything at all about black supremacism knows that its supporters celebrate all black-on-white atrocities, and believe that melanin confers magical powers on blacks. If you deny that, you either know nothing about black supremacism or you do, but you lie about it. In either case, you are unfit to speak on the subject. And when you stoop to say that I “have spread a race libel against black people all over the Internet” you are desperately entering Sharpton territory, and trying to Imus me.

You are a racist punk and a coward, with no journalistic or intellectual integrity whatsoever.

  9. Nick, you wrote: “Granted, you are a successful writer of TV fiction, but I’m not aware of any track record you have of breaking true stories in the real world.”

You’re not aware of so very much, Mr. Stix. I exposed the anti-Semitism of Professor Griff (of the rap group Public Enemy) in 1989 in the Washington Times. My outing of Griff is the stuff of pop-culture history; any book on the history of hip-hop (such as Jeff Chang’s “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”) explores this episode at length.

My interview with Sister Souljah after the L.A. riots (for the Washington Post) was quoted and condemned by candidate Bill Clinton before a black audience. Which, of course, had such impact that the phrase “Sister Souljah moment" remains part of the American political vocabulary.

The Griff and Souljah interviews demonstrate not only my skill and integrity as a journalist. They confer upon me a bit of expertise on the mentality of black racialists. (As have my conversations with Malik Zulu Shabazz, Alim Abdul Muhammad, Frances Cress Welsing, Leonard Jeffries, Molefi Asante and Tony Martin.) I know black racism when I see it. Which is why the Svengali Media/Yacub 7 Ali crap rang false to me upon examination.

Aside from my describing you as a “sap” and a “dupe,” I haven’t engaged in any name-calling, Nick. Certainly nothing to compare to your calling me “a racist punk and a coward.”

My reputation as a professional writer reaches back almost 25 years. Which means I actually have something to lose if I do something irresponsible. But you? Your spreading this lie that there’s a black group on the Internet cheering and boasting about the vicious murders of Channon and Christopher… this has brought you more attention from anyone who matters than anything you’ve ever done.

Just remember: No good can come from spreading bad information.

  10. "My reputation as a professional writer reaches back almost 25 years. Which means I actually have something to lose if I do something irresponsible."

Nonsense. Firs to fall, my reputation as a professional writer — in two languages, mind you — reaches back just about as long. And if what you say were so, you would by now be a pariah for what you have done to Lawrence Auster, what you have tried to do to myself and others, and for your misrepresentations in this case.

"But you? Your spreading this lie that there’s a black group on the Internet cheering and boasting about the vicious murders of Channon and Christopher… this has brought you more attention from anyone who matters than anything you’ve ever done."

First of all, the notion that writing on Svengali Media has brought me "more attention from anyone who matters than anything [I’ve] ever done" is nonsense on stilts, and betrays both your ignorance of my career, and your bitterness that someone who writes honestly on race would get any attention. In fact, the article has not brought me explicit attention from ANYONE who matters. (Rusty Dornin's May 29 CNN report showed a screen capture shot of my AR article, and clearly used material from it, but without attributing it to me.) And the indirect attention was not due to Svengali Media — and you're really a spoiled sport to claim that it did, but because I wrote the first major national article on the killings. You know, with real research and facts? Like tracking back the sexual mutilation rumor to Hal Turner, which Dornin used.

You keep repeating that I'm spreading a lie, David Mills (or is it Larry Collins?), but you have not come up with a shred of evidence that it is a lie, and the reasons you have given for your claim — that black supremacists don't cheer black-on-white crime or believe in the magical powers of melanin — are demonstrably false.

I've been writing on black supremacism since 1990. I suggest you read those of my works that are available on the 'Net; if you open your mind, you just might learn something.

And in the future, if you want to be taken seriously as a journalist, do your research!

  11. How about I research how you lost your teaching gig at CUNY?

  12. Be my guest, dirtbag! But you wouldn't have to do any more “research” than you ever do on any topic, you living, breathing fraud, because I have already written on the topic.

Fake "intellectual-journalists" like you seem to exist merely to bedevil those of us who are the real deal.

By the way, let us revisit something you said two clicks before.

"Aside from my describing you as a 'sap' and a 'dupe,' I haven’t engaged in any name-calling, Nick. Certainly nothing to compare to your calling me 'a racist punk and a coward.'"

First of all, when I called you “a racist punk and a coward,” I was merely engaging in cold, clinical objectivity. What are the most precise terms, after all, for describing a racist punk and a coward? Second, can the fake manners. Someone who goes around engaging in character assassination via poison pen letters doesn't get to act aggrieved, play Miss Manners, and complain about "name-calling," when his tactics come around to bite him in the pants.

Another thing about your bragging about what a big deal journalist you are, while claiming I’m not. All I could find out about your glorious journalism career is that you were a feature writer who specialized in interviews. Interviews can lend much to a good story, but they are no substitute for research and for writing real stories. “Feature writers” live in the journalistic ghetto, along with the other lightweights. I’ve broken more stories than you’ve forgotten, feature writer!

What legitimate journalist, when faced with writing he doesn’t like, sends sneaky poison pen letters to the writer’s editors, in order to try and get him fired, without him knowing what hit him? And what kind of poison pen letter writer just makes empty assertions, without any proof?

What legitimate journalist, when faced with criticism from someone he tried to destroy, threatens to get even by investigating the critic’s background?

You want to investigate me? Have you ever investigated anyone or anything? Just remember this, pal. You’re already on record with your threat, so this clearly has nothing to do with journalism, and you have already proven what is typically so hard to prove in court cases about journalistic libel, malice. And claiming to be a journalist does not give you license to make up libelous statements about me, while claiming to have gotten them from “anonymous sources.” All that is actionable, and you would have to reveal your sources in open court.

And you say you’re a journalist?!

  13. Mr. Stix, I say again, I didn't try to destroy you. I'm trying to contain a malicious Internet hoax. One which you seem determined to spread.

Think back. What's the first thing I did? I sent an email to you, not to Eric Olsen. But when you refused to even consider that "Svengali Media" might be fraudulent (the site has apparently been shut down, by the way), and your piece kept turning up on one conservative blog after another, what else could I do?

But I do thank you for encouraging me to read your previous writings on "black supremacism." They were enlightening. One in particular…
