Well Spoken Patrick and sedonaman, but I fear the situation is so dire that it’s to the point of no return. Society by its very nature is mob like, visceral and sheepish. The strength of liberalism should of been nipped in the bud at its on set. Now we must deal with the consequences. What many do not realize is that once symptoms of social dysfunction begin to become pervasive, the actual ailment that is at the root of the problem is far worse then any could imagine and the mole has indeed become severely malignant. In other words, no matter how bad you think things are, they’re actually worse! I fear people of reason shall not band together, because of the dread that springs from the thought of the consequences. Sadly the pool of true rationalist is so shallow that the mere idea of attempting to unite and organize them would seem like wishful thinking. So few are unspotted by the shady underhand dealings hoisted onto the American psyche in the name of “freedom”, “rights” and “PC”. So few indeed…

For liberals, simply regulating speech is not even enough. They would ideally like to abolish free thought long before it has the chance to metastasize into speech. In the wake of the Don Imus incident, there was serious discussion, advanced even by the evil Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, of literally outlawing the word “nigger” (how the discussion came about I’m not entirely sure, since Don Imus didn’t even say the dreadful “N-word”, but come about it did). “Hate crimes” and “Hate speech” laws have been passed, and will likely continue to be passed, mirroring those of the now nearly-fascist European nations who have became worshipers of political correctness. And yet the same liberals will fight with their dying breath for the first amendment right to collect government funds for dunking a crucifix in a jar of urine, or peddle porn to gradeschool kids. Welcome to the brave new world.
