		<description>No, McCain would not attempt to re-instate the fairness doctrine.  He has his faults, but conservatives shouldn&#039;t throw out the baby with the bathwater in these perilous times.  I suspect that conservatives (I am one) may well be pleasantly surprised by the way President McCain conducts himself while in office.  Remember Churchill - McCain has many of his qualities.</description>

		<description>The &quot;Fairness Doctrine&quot; would be even more dangerous today as a federal law than it was 24 years ago as a mere FCC regulation. Namely in that it would be a lot more difficult to reverse, and have a lot more power as law. If McCain becomes president, I think he may change his stance on this issue when he realizes how badly conservative talk radio personalities are assailing him :)</description>
