If McCain wins the presidency, I fear it will be the end of the Republican Party as a home for conservatives. [...] Now is the time to rebuild the party and reassert conservative principles. You have the culture you deserve: a culture that glorifies violence daily in movie theaters and television shows across the nation, a culture in which every want is seen as a right and those thus deprived feel victimized by all of humanity, a culture in which core values of responsibility, duty and honor [...] When some Republicans lament the absence of good “conservative” primary contenders, they often act as if our statist front-runners are visited upon us by an invisible hand, as if their ascendancy was despite the culture and not because of it. [...] Does the news have a "pro-corporate" bias, simply because the major news media outlets are corporate-owned? [...] Sovereign wealth fund investments could have the capacity to influence important U.S. investment decisions: the choice of location of major production facilities in the United States or abroad, the location of R&D facilities, and the structure of investments by U.S. firms that may compete with companies domiciled in the home countries of sovereign wealth funds. [...] When you refuse to acknowledge the enemy for fear of offending people, by definition, you cannot know whether you are triumphing over the enemy. [...] Recycling is a modern-day liberal-progressive idol that is, like the idols of old, both ineffective and harmful. [...] It is unfair to burden future generations with unfunded obligations. Only the greediest would past this debt to their children and grandchildren. [...] If John McCain is to be believed, the torture that our servicemen and women have endured is the fault of the US military itself. [...] Reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine is one more reason the Democrats must not gain the presidency. [...] |
