Dear Mr. Sidman

Although I support Israel and Jews in general, and I am not a big supporter of FDR, I fail to see how bombing the gas chambers or railroads would have saved anyone. It is truly worthwhile to study and know the history, but winning the war does seem like the best way and this was FDR's responsibility. There is a fine line between criticizing FDR and damning America during the war and you have come close to crossing it. Eight of my close relatives fought in the war and my father was 500 miles east of Japan on August 6, 1945, so I am proud of my country and it is people.
