Unmentioned here is the origin of anti-white sentiment in the anticolonialist Communist propaganda of the early 1960s as adopted by the New Left and leavened with Marcuse. The goal of the New Left and its cultural revolution is to replace traditional American and Western culture with a culture amenable to socialism, and this entails discrediting the old culture so that it can be replaced by the new. The ceaseless criticism of slavery has its origins in the Stalinist Old Left: Howard Zinn was raised in a Stalinist household that fetishized blacks as a “revolutionary class” that would usher in socialism and never had second thoughts. Using slavery, which was abolished in this country over 150 years ago, to discredit American constitutional democracy is monumental hypocrisy because contemporary America leftists are contemporary America’s foremost apologists for slavery. This would be the concentration camp slavery of the Gulag, as well as the slavery imposed on an entire country by the Cambodian Communists. The 2004 Paul Robeson postage stamp in the Black Heritage series makes this glaringly obvious. The simple truth is that the extreme Left hijacked a movement intended to assure all Americans the promises of our foundational documents and turned it into an ethnic special interest movement to promote socialism. This began in the early 1960s when Martin Luther King (influenced by the secret CPUSA member Stanley David Levison) was hitting his stride and the New Left made civil rights in the South its first crusade. The segregationists predicted this and have been proven correct, as evidenced by the occupant of the White House. Contemporary blacks are America’s most Communist-tolerant ethnic group and thus the least committed to democratic principles. In leftist terms, racial conciliation can be seen as whites dispensing with the culture that made our constitutional democracy and free-market economy possible and accepting socialism. This is what Rev. Joseph Lowery meant in saying “white will embrace what is right.” History has proven that socialism isn’t “correct” in any sense, which is something any conservative should recognize.
