<description>This is a tax scheme that politicians love. By design it is a business tax which means that prices go up to the consumer. The consumer then can be demagogued into anger at the greedy businessmen taking advantage of them by making things they need, like 52&quot; TVs, more expensive. The beauty of a business tax is that businesses do not pay them unless they are losing money. Otherwise the tax is simply a part of the cost when establishing the pricing. Do you see the politician&#039;s fingerprints on the cost increases? Nope, well hidden and with an almost illiterate electorate lying works well..those damn capitalists.

The impact, I fear, is much more extensive than your examples. In the first place petroleum and electric is a production or overhead cost in all businesses so expect all prices to go up not just a few industries. Many other goods and feedstocks for industries are petroleum based so watch the ripples spread.

The Omessiah will protect his voters by giving low income and no income earners federal income tax decreases even though they do not pay federal income tax (read this as vote buying welfare).

As this cycle continues there will be no benefit for bujilding any form of private industry except for weapons manufacture and sales therefore choices and quality in the marketplace will dwindle while government run industry segments will produce automobiles no one wants and continue giving loans (to be quickly forgiven when not paid) to those that have no hope of affording them.
