What, exactly, is President Obama to do if the Taliban takes control of Pakistan, and with it its nuclear arsenal? Illusions might be bad but the fantasy of regulation is devastating. More state, more corruption. Bad governments, their taxes and those seeking relief. Street violence and video games. Freedom and maturity. Saving the failing now implies paying forever. The Republican Party has rewarded those who did what it took to get elected and actively tried to be more "mainstream." |
