Either intentionally or unintentionally, United States news media outlets are ignoring the violence perpetrated by Muslims against Christians in Iraq. In his article, "Where Are They? Why I Hope the Search for Extraterrestrial Life Finds Nothing" (PDF here), Oxford University's Nick Bostrom has raised some very troubling questions. The United States had a very strong culture throughout the 18th and 19th centuries; during the 20th century a powerful new culture emerged to challenge the established one.
