Anderson,

I am not sure I'd even concede he's an 'expert' revisionist as he manages to bungle even that. He's out of sync with all the major revisionists and his revisions are easily unmasked by amateur B.S. busters. Eland never provides us with solutions ... not even bad ones. That would at least indicate us he's got ideas of his own to promote, but he seems content condemning that which he is powerless to improve.

Here is a guy with a PhD to his credit who, nonetheless, repeats the same unsupportable hogwash in the same venues, time after time despite we're all on to him (other than than a few like-minded liberals who unthinkingly defend such tripe). This makes me wonder what kind of degrees our institutions of 'higher learning' are handing out, and if such a thing as scholarship still exists there. If I had known I could have had a PhD without actually learning anything, I might have changed to a liberal-arts major and hung out on campus another couple of years. As it is, all I got from college was a measly bachelor of science for which I had to work my butt off, learned some things of real worth and in demand, and how to analyze information rather than endlessly regurgitate smug assumptions. Actually, it doesn't make me wonder because my opinion of our universities was already pretty low, but it is awfully sad scholars like Eland are the best our liberal-arts colleges seem able produce.

Reading this idiot's tripe time after time after time requires a change in thinking - from rationality rooted in reality to irrationality rooted in delusion.

After reading this article (not that any of his other ones are better), I am not quite sure how Mr. Eland can lecture anyone on the use of rational thought. He is quite the expert on revisionist history, though.
