First thing, the term reverse discrimination is a misnomer. Wouldn’t the reverse of discrimination be no discrimination? Hate is hate, discrimination is discrimination no matter who does it, let’s call it what it is. It’s not cute when minorities hate as liberals have been trying to sell us for thirty years. There are several things about this story that are telling. One, is why is there a black firefighters organization in the first place? Second, no sane person can defend throwing the test out. What’s the argument, “We have a right to be less qualified and rewarded any way?” Finally, is the NAACP so secure that it’s above criticism that they can joust the windmills of pretend racism and never be called to task? Race relations are the elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about yet it permeates all aspects of our society. When our gallant media does address the issue it’s always the same theme, “Let’s discuss how bad white people are.” The culture of hate that thrives in our minority communities is palpable. The minute men were dismissed as Mexican hating white guys, the founders are dismissed as a bunch of old dead white men, talk radio listeners are just angry white guys and the tea parties where clandestine white supremacist rallies. Even the fact that Jessie Jackson, Charles Rangel and Al Sharpton can be treated by the media as anything but pathetic clowns is telling. As any reasonable person would agree all people regardless of color should be judged on their merits without grading on a curve. Although I’m powerless to do anything about it, I can ask all who see this to stop using the term reverse discrimination and correct anyone else who does. Let’s not white wash hate by backing away from the correct terms.
