How can you possibly be focusing on these little trivialities when Michael Jackson just had a heart attack and Governor Sanford admitted he was diddling an Argentine woman during his South America trips (remember what a huge scandal it was when Bill Clinton was screwing around on his wife and then lied about it under oath to congress)?

The MSM has, and always will, operate this way. Conservatives will continuously be 'called out' for deviation from the most narrow definition of moral behavior; simply because they have them, or claim to have them.

Progressives will, in the same breath, excuse any dalliance exercised by a fellow progressive. Nonjudgmentalism requires they agree that any moral system they may ascribe to cannot be enforced upon another person. However; since conservatives make claim to possess 'morality' to begin with, progressives maintain it is correct not only to 'judge' their behavior, but to judge it in comparison to the most stringent set of standards that can be perceived.

In order to completely understand this one has to look no further than the behavior of a former Governor of the State of Arkansas and the coverage; and the behavior of a soon-to-be former Governor of the State of South Carolina. One was actually subject to credible accusations of rape by more than one source, the other admitted to adultery. One was protected, excused, and supported by progressives. The other is providing the rapture of "schadenfreude" to all progressives, as Nancy pointed out.

Education, thinking, and decision making rely on information. Tainted information negates those processes.

"This effectively denies every American the right to enough information to make an informed decision."

Besides being ridiculously whiney, that statement is also untrue factually. Education, thinking, and decision making is a personal responsibility.
