The descent into the morass of rule by the elite is fueled by a conviction which finds its roots in good. Caring for people, upholding the downtrodden, increasing the common god with social programs stem from good intentions found in universals.

The corruption of the internal intentions is that the ruling elite of the socialist ilk are what Fran Schaeffer called "christianity without a face." THis stuff doesn't work without the Rule of Law founded upon Absolutes and Moral Imperatives stemming from a actively involved deity, by the name of Elohim. The founders used the word, "God".

The direction of the socialist always runs amuck because they are as the ruling elite the source of the laws which govern the populace. In a deeper sense they function as gods in the course of the nation and if they had their way the global picture.

When the socialist moves about among the nations,It, seeks to find a common base where power which they wield will gain pre-eminence.

The power base has a motivation which is a bit deeper, but of course this being an intellectual discussion we must not delve into the true source of their power base.

"in the gathering of many books and gaining much knowledge, there is great sorrow!" Solomon

In another article on IC we were reminded this is a "for real" interaction with Truth as the winner or loser.

These,in review of history, are the most "skewwy" -scary- of people. (couldn't help myself, my daughter used the word when very little)

In the 50's a parent, when sending their children out for the evening would say - not "have a good time" - "be good".

"Do right till the stars fall from the sky."

Re: The Ugly Face behind the Mask of Liberalism

"Obama has sided with a thug, a man who – for completely self-serving reasons – sought to subvert his nation's constitution. Obama has sided with a man who – like Pancho Villa on a cross-border raid – led a mob in an effort to execute this illegal scheme. And Obama does this while paying lip service to democracy, even as he imperils it; he claims to stand for freedom, even while supporting those who would extinguish it."

This paragraph from your essay reveals all. Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and his brother Raủl, Daniel Ortega, Manuel Zelaya, and Barack Obama are all kindred spirits. Why should a pesky thing like Constitutional Law stand in the way of social justice? Especially social justice as defined by the person wielding the power.

Barack Obama has nationalized the large banks; he has directed the bankruptcies of Chrysler and GM to ensure majority positions for union members at the expense of other investors. Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez himself commented about GM by saying "Hey, Obama has just nationalized nothing more and nothing less than General Motors. Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful or we are going to end up to his right,"

"When constitutional mandates, or laws, then contradict that "measure of all things," that democratic body, with which will you likely side? This explains why liberals find it unfathomable that anyone would let "a piece of paper" stand in the way of a popular – or politically correct – social change."

US Constitution; Article Two, Clause Five - No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

If you thought it was difficult to get a look at John Kerry's service record in 2004; you ain't seen nuttin' yet! The current President has a plethora of individuals within the court system and the MSM running interference on this issue. It is easily solved; release the long form birth certificate from Hawaii. What is so difficult?

But now that our Messiah has ascended to office, his view from this lofty position has changed. He actually might not be able to get all of his programs and mandates enacted in the first year. He may not get it all done in eight. But with just a few more Supreme Court appointments of persons willing to take an 'international' perspective on rulings; we may yet find a way to rid ourselves of that 'annoying' 22nd Amendment. Especially if there is precedent in international law regarding popular rulers and their challenges to their respective Constitutions.

One such incident, Venezuela, is a novelty. Two, Venezuela and Honduras, is the beginning of a 'movement'. Add in Dmitry Medvedev's puppet master Vladimir Putin, and you've the beginnings of a trend. And we all know that our 'Beloved Leader' is nothing if not a trend setter.
