To the Leaders of the National Association of Evangelicals

NAE President Leith AndersonThe mother of Intellectual Conservative and wife of a pastor tells the NAE that Congressional testimony by NAE President Leith Anderson critical of Christians who do not pander to illegal immigrants does not represent us.

My husband (a Baptist pastor) and I disagree with your position, as do many of the Christians whom we associate with.

The Bible never condones lawlessness nor the robbing of Peter to pay Paul. The illegal immigrants have stolen jobs from American citizens. They have also bankrupted our hospitals and public schools…using hospitals and schools freely without paying taxes or social security.

Many of the illegals are responsible for the increased drug trade and crime which has forced American citizens to live in gated communities …..We, the citizens, are no longer free to walk the streets. We are imprisoned while the gangs have taken over the streets.

Apparently the NAE is is cahoots with other forces who wish to reduce America to a third world country….Once you have accomplished this, and extinguished the beacon on a hill that has beamed hope to so many, who will then help the poor, build the orphanages (world-wide), go to the rescue of disaster victims, establish hospitals???

Yes, America isn't perfect, but to try and destroy her through increased immigration of those who really don't want to become Americans (La Raza), and through redistribution of the wealth, from those who have worked hard as citizens tothose who at heart don't love America, is reprehensible.

You mention noble terms such as "forgiveness", always implying that the Americans are the ones to forgive. Is there no guilt on the side of those who have come to this country illegally, demanding the rights of citizens without any of the responsibilities? Many of these illegals have become very vocal, forming their own political power groups, refusing to acclimate to American culture, refusing to learn English, demanding that the education system be bi-lingual. Are you not aware of the unrest and violence in Europe as a result of careless unlimited immigration policies? Do you care?

Perhaps the biggest puzzle to my husband and myself is how an evangelical Christian association can end up in bed with very ungodly, secular forces which are craftily moving civilization towards a one-world government and the (temporary, thank God) reign of the anti-Christ.

It seems that our "quick fix" culture has infiltrated immigration policies and politics. How must those who have gone through the normal channels to citizenship feel when they realize that citizenship is now of such low value that it has become "cheap"? Most things in life worth having are achieved at a cost, often with much sacrifice. Human nature is such that when we are simply handed something, we don't appreciate it. Has all of the foreign aid the USA has given to developing nations, all of the food our ships have delivered to these nations earned us friends among them? I think you know the answer to this question. America will continue to help the poor all over the world, because we are generous and compassionate, and "to whom much is given, much is required" …..but to actually make those who despise us citizens is to destroy ourselves from within…an unwitting type of suicide.
May the Lord help all of you to reconsider your position…for the glory of God and in memory of those who gave their lives for this country, and the wonderful freedoms and privileges which we enjoy.

Sincerely,

Sandra Alexander

Well said.. when we take care of illegal immigrants before our own US citizens, it shows how much we truly care for our own.
