		<description>The same information found in &quot;Banking and The Business Cycle&quot; I also found in Murray Rothbard&#039;s &quot;America&#039;s Great Depression.&quot;  Overinflating the money supply because increasing wages were believed synonymous with increasing wealth, and then the sudden tightening and falling prices which should have been left alone to restore the price relationship to what it should have been.  

It is my belief that the government economists tend to focus to strongly on spending as a symbol of economic health, rather than productivity and thrift.  A nation that lives on credit will get into trouble a lot easier than one which has a healthy savings balance.  

Once again it appears that no one reads Santayana any more.</description>
