These are all good ideas, but conservatives must vote Republican and thus are branded as Republicans.

The Republicans blew it last time, beginning with allowing K street to happen and in general not operating with candor and Integrity.

Great organizations do not allow sleaze and as conservatives our biggest challenge is cleaning up the Republican party beginning with M. Steele who acts like a partisan and money grabbing hack.

Excellent article. I would add 2 things, one easy to do, one hard. An energy policy, easy, and revamp the way we collect taxes (fair tax act), hard to get through congress as it puts the power into the hands of the electorate and takes the power from the politicians.

Energy:

1) ALL coasts are fair game for drilling
2) All of Alaska fair game for drilling
3) All shale oil deposits immediately available for harvesting
4) Our oil find in western North Dakota Called the Bakken find drilling starts immediately. Suppose to be larger than all of the oil in the mideast. We've been sitting on this for several years.
5) Pass law that car manufacturers make cars run on gas or natural gas
6) Have natural gas available at gas stations
7) Have Manhattan style project fund research way for hydrogen to be economically feasible for cars. $10 billion dollar bonus
8) Nuclear plants have easy road to be permitted
9) Post a price for what the U.S. would pay for crude, delivered. Let them deal with the pirates, thugs who blow up pipe lines, and destroy oil wells. Guess what, they would do it.

Tax Overhaul:

The Fair Tax Act by Rep John Linder and co-signed by about 100 members of congress is the answer to tax collections and economic growth for our country. It would be the biggest shift of power in our country's history. This shift would be from congress to the people. Please allow me to give a few bullet point:
1) Eliminate all personal, payroll, and corporate taxes.

2) Replace the taxes with an INCLUSIVE 23% retail sales tax. This tax is NOT, and I repeat NOT, a 23% tax added to the retail cost. The people who oppose this tax will not quote it as an inclusive tax because they want to maintain the power of congress and big government. This allows for tax receipts to be revenue neutral. This is better way to collect taxes. When you buy goods or services you pay a tax. Even drug dealers and foreign visitors would pay for our government's budget.

3) A refund based on the poverty level would be given back to assure that basic necessities of life are not taxed. For example a family of four would receive a check for $525 each month to offset any taxes they paid during the month at retail level.

4) A person who is working would bring home his paycheck in its entirety except for state and local taxes. A much larger paycheck to do with as he or she pleases. When he or she spends money it is then collected at the retail level for the cost of operating our government.

5) With no corporate taxes we would become the tax haven for the world. 400 of the largest corporations of the world were asked what effect the Fair Tax would heave on their decisions. 240 said they would build their next plant here and the remaining 160 said they would move their entire corporate structure here. Now that's growth you can believe in. unemployment would drop overnight. Why do we not do this now? It's all about retaining power for the elected elite.

6) We spend $400 billion+ on preparing our taxes. With the Fair Tax Act this would be eliminated as there are no taxes. We have over 68,000 pages of tax code to interpret. It is impossible to apply it equally to all citizens. This $400 billion would be better used recirculating in our economy than for government compliance which.

I would encourage you to buy the book, The Fair Tax Act by John Linder and read it.

1) "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded." Barack Obama, 7/2/2008

2) CHRIS MATTHEWS: Yeah, well, you know what? I want to do everything I can to make this thing work, this new presidency work, and I think that --

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Is that your job? You just talked about being a journalist!

MATTHEWS: Yeah, it is my job. My job is to help this country. (11/6/2008)

3) HELPING ALL AMERICANS SERVE THEIR COUNTRY:
BARACK OBAMA AND JOE BIDEN’S PLAN FOR UNIVERSAL VOLUNTARY
CITIZEN SERVICE (http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/NationalServicePlanFactSheet.pdf)

4) "Now, I know this has been a long speech, but we got more to do." President Obama, 6/8/09

5) "Things will work fine once we eliminate Republicans from all governance." http://thinkprogress.org/2009/05/28/nelson-health-flip/

Following #1 comment, we list here the actions necessary to implement the goals listed there:

(1)Create a new special force parallel to the armed forces. We could call it UStasi.
(2)Create a government newspaper. We could call it The Truth, or The Yacht
(3)Form citizens committees to support the party
(4)Have the president and government leaders to use the national tv and radio networks 3-4 hour long pronouncements
(5)Extinguish senate and house of representatives, and create a new people’s parliament, where the rule number one would be that all members should belong to the party.

Then for the end (of the start) change the name of the country from USA to USSSA - Union of the Soviet Socialist States of America!

Here's my list:

1) Play the game exactly the way the leftists have been playing. No compromise. No prisoners. No withering under fire. Hit back harder.

2) Take it to the people. Bypass the media, and don't try to get them to like you.

3) Start at the grassroots. Power starts locally and builds up.

4) Polish the message and repeat it incessantly.

5) Policy/legislative change: Defund the IRS, the dept. of education, the NEA, the EEOC, and any other department that doesn't perform or conform. Repeal the tax code and install a flat tax. Begin work to repeal the 16th amendment. Cut the budget by 40%, except for constitutionally-mandated powers. Privatize the USPS. Eliminate the power of discretionary spending.

I could go on, but it's a start.
