Scott Rothstein, sentenced to 50 years for Ponzi schemes, was the top contributor to McCain Victory 2008 and McCain-Palin Victory 2008. His firm (which includes others who have been convicted) contributed $1.1 million, some of which must have come from defrauded investors. Although his McCain instructed his staff to set up a separate accounting system to track Rothstein's donations, McCain is denying even recognizing the guy, and hasn't returned the money. So much for championing campaign finance reform.

The fact that McCain would say he couldn’t pick Rothstein out of a line-up is alarming when there is pictorial evidence to the contrary. He’s either
“losing it” or a liar, either option not qualities
one wants to see in a Senator.
Even more alarming to me, however, is a comment
McCain made around the time of the TARP “bail-outs”,
something to the effect that he really didn’t understand
the financial end of things. What does this say about
McCain? Either he is woefully ignorant or pretending
to be.
What has the Senator been doing during these last terms of office? I’m afraid acting true to form, just as one would expect from a play boy who graduated near the bottom of his Naval Academy class.

for our country and for the suffering you endured in that N. Vietnamese prison of war camp; however, you’re been given an opportunity to serve America and it’s now time to retire and let others with more understanding of the challenges America is facing take over….before it really is too late and the America we all know and love is no more…..
