Hi, I am Larry Chesley but friends call me "Lucky." I was a Prisoner of War in Vietnam for 2,494 days, not quite 7 years. John McCain was a Prisoner of War for 1,966 days. We both served honorably as prisoners. That is where any similarity between John and I ends. Our politics could not be further apart.
At the Mesa Town Hall last night, I asked the audience three questions. I ask the people of Arizona those three questions today. No. 1: When McCain loses this election, do you think he will stay in Arizona? And they said no. No. 2: Can you name one thing that McCain has done for the people of Arizona? And they said no. No. 3: Can this election be bought? And they said no.
There's an alternative. It's JD Hayworth. I've known JD since he first ran for office. I was running for office at the same time. We were at many of the same events. I was very impressed with his ability and knowledge of government and history, and his ability to present those ideas to others. Since those early days, JD and I have become really good friends.
