So I must ask, "Why is it the rest of the country's responsibility to make them whole again? [...] Modern educators praise the advent of musical and film exposure for infants, thereby acknowledging their need for mental stimulation, but the average family in this culture is blithely unaware of it, except to get its unoccupied children off its neck. What does the near-ubiquity of this modern disability tell us of the state of boredom [...] Americans are rightly concerned about Chinese competition; particularly in the technology sectors where outright piracy often seems to rule the day. On the other hand, one Chinese industry is quietly doing a bang-up job where America used to be the world's undisputed leader. [...] You know you are a liberal if… [...] It's not the event that matters. Spin is what counts. [...] Devotion to fiscal sanity is "draconian" and "mean spirited." Concern for the moral preservation and restoration of the nation and its foundational institutions including traditionally defined marriage, is "homophobic" and "hateful." Protection of the unborn is "sexist" and "anti-woman." Recognition of the cultural and spiritual roots of the nation, and their critical importance to its [...] |
