Many people in society think that by following along with the mantra of class warfare and inciting racism at every turn that they will bring about sweeping changes in society and in human nature. [...] Somalia is the world's worst humanitarian crisis. It is not the drought that is killing thousands of people in Somalia, but the al-Qaeda affiliate al-Shabab. Eliminate militant Islam, and a lot of the rest of the world's problems will go away. [...] Lieberman implored President Obama to stop being afraid of offending the overwhelmingly large portion of law-abiding and well-intentioned Muslims with his rhetoric. [...] There are problems with the EPA's objectivity. The EPA continues to produce ideas that leave you scratching your head because of the questionable science used to justify these regulations. Instead of protecting the environment, these rules are destroying American industry and killing job creation. [...] As we enjoy our bargains on coffee, gloves, household wares, cars, wines, foods, and DVDs at our local stores, we are gradually becoming aware that there are costs of free trade. The sweat shops that have to meet a global demand and the loss of American jobs due to outsourcing are just a couple. What [...] I found "The Help" a ridiculously one-sided examination of a serious subject in order to pursue an agenda. The nonstop stereotypes were so annoying I walked out early. [...] The continuing economic crisis is causing more talking heads to consider returning to the gold standard. [...] New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof is wrong to suggest that the U.S. should support a Palestinian state, following the advice of the anti-Israel Jewish group J-Street. We are not seeing an "Arab Spring," but rather something more like an "Arab Winter." [...] Spending money to fix the damage caused by Hurricane Irene is not going to help the economy. [...] Margaret Thatcher, Jeanne Kirkpatrick, and many ordinary grandmothers are emblematic of this new self-confidence; we regard an older woman who is excessively vain or petulant as having missed this full maturity. [...] The police will knock down your door and arrest you for a minor old violation of the law, but they won't dare arrest an illegal immigrant who flagrantly testifies before the legislature and holds press conferences. [...] Some black elected officials have been making some remarkable public statements. The fact of the matter is that the race card is played because historically it worked. Shouting "racist" ended the debate and sent the opposition scurrying for cover, despite the accusation being entirely unfounded. [...] Real tax reform won't happen without major changes in Washington DC and significant efforts on the part of the average citizen. [...] America right now is being inexorably stripped of its most valuable industries by its naïve embrace of one-sided free trade. America doesn't need to cut itself off from the world entirely, but it does need to get wise to the fact that the rest of the world views trade (correctly) as an arena of national [...] Event spamming is killing political activism on Facebook. [...] So, much of the current nonsense of pre-hurricane overkill must be attributed to Katrina syndrome: the idea that more government can save lives and property, when in actuality, less bureaucratic interference and more individual responsibility would suffice. [...] I do not care if you are Black or White, please stop falling for revisionist history and learn the real facts. [...] The Washington elite, along with their media minions, may have reason to despise Perry, and may rant endlessly about what they claim to be his deficiencies. [...] Local dictatorships rely on a global network. [...] |
