The only reason why the outlaw Iranian regime has been allowed to go on for three decades is the misguided appeasement tactics and policies of the American and European governments.
Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.
-Sun Tzu
If proved that the Iranian regime has committed an Act of War against the USA and the international community, this would not be the first time. The unannounced war started almost 30 years ago when 52 Americans were held hostage for 444 days from November 4, 1979 to January 20, 1981. And continued on October 23, 1983 in Beirut, Lebanon when two truck bombs struck separate buildings housing United States and French military forces—members of the Multinational Force in Lebanon—killing 299 American and French servicemen.
The Iranian fabricated organization Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the bombings in 1996. A rigged truck exploded, and the eight-story building housed United States Air Force personnel In Saudi Arabia was destroyed. In all, 19 U.S. servicemen , one Saudi were killed and 372 individuals of different nationalities were wounded . More recently, the American Hikers were held in prison for more than two years and now the recent terror plot.
The question to ask is why has the Iranian regime not been stopped? What is the solution? Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) issued a press release concerning the Iranian assassination plot uncovered yesterday. In its conclusion, it reads: In short, we need to admit that nothing we have done thus far has shown any sign of changing the calculus of Iran’s leaders with regard to their most dangerous and destabilizing behaviors. This is a regime that has crossed every red line of international law and civilized conduct — and they are getting away with it. It is time for the United States and our allies to make clear to Iran’s leaders that, if they continue on their current outlaw course, they will face more than just further incremental ratcheting up of economic sanctions and diplomatic pressure.
While admiring the firm position of senator Lieberman, I am positive to say that the only reason why the outlaw course has been allowed to go on for three decades is the misguided appeasement tactics and policies of the American and European governments.
Lacking a firm and decisive strategy against the religious fascism ruling Iran who is undoubtedly the single most dangerous thread for the Arab Spring as well , Iranian rulers have been only encouraged to continue with their outlaw course against international community.
Unfortunately, in another wrongful tactic, the main opposition group to Iranian regime called The People’s Mujahedin, known as MEK, has been designated by the U.S. State Department as a foreign terrorist organization. Such a decision should only be based on facts, but in the case of the MEK, courts in Britain, the European Union and the United States have determined time and again that the opposition group has not been involved in terrorism.
Yes as Sun Tzu stated some 2400 years ago Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat, this is the noise we have been hearing for the past thirty years, this noise should be silenced, the first and most effective step for establishing a decisive strategy to stop the Iranian outlaw course is removing MEK from FTO list.
