Why was Hans Blix Mum on Damning Iraqi Data?
Blix's lack of objectivity is beginning to show through; most recently with his failure to report the obvious violation of Iraq's drone to the U.N. Security Council.
Blix had it in his hands; but did he read it aloud to the UN Security Council? Not. Why not?
He knew about the Iraqi drone but did not whisper a syllable about it. There are those in high and low places who are quite suspicious — legitimately — concerning Blix’s objectivity at this point. Further, it is a crucial point. In other words, inquiring minds have the imperative right to be informed about this material. Yes!
There it was — in a declassified 173-page single-spaced UN file — according to The Times. The hot data includes this: Inspectors have come upon an “undeclared Iraqi drone with a wingspan of 7.45m.” Such a drone could put in danger Hussein’s neighbors. In other words, sidelined countries could wipeout in chemical and biological let-loose.
Naturally, such drones could level the same against US and British troops.
Such a drone was never made known to the inspectors, though the drone has been test-flown. Such drones are prohibited by the same UN regulations that prohibit missiles of like capacity.
Why then was Blix closed mouth about all this? The question still remains unanswered at this date.
The declassified file goes on to state that Hussein’s regime has “spraying devices and drop tanks” which could dump chemical and biological onslaught from aircraft. The drop tanks are of varying magnitudes.
The same file reveals that Iraq still has an oversized supply of anthrax. Also, it states Hussein no doubt is manufacturing long-range missiles, R400 aerial bombs and Scud missiles as well as smallpox.
British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw profiled the material as “a chilling read.”
