Western Civilization is under the rule of the Left, and persons formally accused of “intolerance” (impiety towards liberalism) face serious persecution if convicted. Indeed, even the accusation can bring significant hardship. What can we do to defend ourselves against the Leftist Gestapo? [...] The Protestant world is divided broadly into three groups: Liberal, Evangelical and Fundamentalist. But there is a fourth group, rarely identified, which holds the key to understanding the mess Protestantism has made and how it could regain its integrity. [...] America does not just tolerate the sins loved by the Left – – Abortion, homosexuality, Balkanization through multiculturalism, and so on. Our leaders want us to love sin. [...] The ideas of liberalism currently have effective control of America, so the conservative movement must deliberately instigate a war of ideas, with the aim of retaking intellectual control of the country. [...] If you are sure there is no miracle-working God, then something like Darwinian evolution must be correct. But if there is even a chance that such a God exists, then basic intellectual integrity demands that you take seriously the criticisms directed against Darwinism. [...] We American conservatives are all, in a manner of speaking, recovering liberals, and we must constantly fight the temptation to relapse. [...] According to the Center for Inquiry, science is the highest form of knowledge, trumping religion, intuition, and tradition, among other things. However, there are very good reasons to believe that science is not the highest form of knowledge. [...] |
