Now they are licking their wounds and getting ready for their next hate-infused recall election – Gov. Scott Walker's next year. It will be a doozy. Will public-sector unions face defeat again at the hands of "people power"? Or [...] Two key issues not addressed in public employee unions' recall efforts remain mostly hidden from public view. Will incurious news media get to the bottom of the story? Answer: It's doubtful. [...] In the widely-watched Anthony case, a young mom "walks" because of jury selection? Same as the first O.J. trial? Couldn't they connect the dots? Did its inherently "liberal" nature, albeit not in the political sense, turn the jury off to the prosecution's case? [...] Government shutdown idles 24,000 state employees. Governor holds state budget hostage for higher taxes in an already high-tax state amidst a severe economic downturn. What is WRONG with this picture? [...] Supreme Court strikes down lower court ruling of a liberal activist judge. Governor Scott Walker and Republican majorities are vindicated while the awesome power of public unions lording over ordinary taxpayers is curtailed…at least for the moment. in the Badger State. Automatic withdrawal of members' union dues from government paychecks takes a hit in the new law, causing overriding concern for [...] Politicians preserve a political safety net for a cash-rich monopoly that enriches their party while news media snooze. How do you spell institutional c-o-r-r-u-p-t-i-o-n? (Psst! With a capital "C" as in Capitol.) [...] Escaping notice in Wisconsin's hotly-contested "collective bargaining" scrap is the real-deal issue: The coercive force of governments to serve as unions' bagmen through involuntary payroll deductions of dues from paychecks. [...] Tooth-'n-nail battle of public unions to save self-proclaimed "rights" that are privileges is a struggle against fiscal sanity and against ordinary tax-paying Americans. Back-to-school shopping public does not buy into boycott. Target sales increase. The whole squalid story of a tawdry attempt at a shakedown is here… [...] Free speech is at issue. MoveOn would stifle it based on a wild-eyed charge of supporting homophobia. It's intimidation, a shut-up extortion demand aimed at the Minnesota-based second largest retailer in the nation. Who's next? Walmart? Sears? Dairy Queen? [...] Cries of racism flung by liberal politicos and their media allies deal the race card.
