Edward Kennedy became the person thrown in the faces of Catholics who argued that being pro-life was essential to living the life of a practicing Catholic. [...] Today in the nation there are over two million couples ready, willing and certified to adopt a child. I will say it again. Two million couples — certified. There are approximately one million abortions performed in this nation each year. [...] Now why would any true blue conservative who honestly respects the right to life of every human being join the Giuliani camp? It is not enough for Rudy Giuliani to say he will appoint justices to the Supreme Court like Alito and Roberts. The same kind of people arguing that one should trust Giuliani put [...] If Governor Napolitano was in law school like the many feminist law students I recall in my days at the university, she may have had a resentment toward the law and toward those men who wrote the laws that protected women and children. [...] Bob Casey, Jr., running against Senator Rick Santorum, cannot have it both ways. [...] Where is the Republican leadership that heard quite clearly from the American people during the Alito hearings that fair and prompt hearings are in the interest of the nation? This fellow has no clue about what it is like across the country to care about protecting life. As I said before, we, pro-lifers, are not going to quit. We are not going to give up. We intend to win this war. [...] “Catholic” Democrats in the House believe that if they claim they are good Catholics, they can vote for abortion. [...] Why can I not open up the newspaper without having to read about homosexuality every single day? Why do I have to screen the newspaper before I can let my ten year-old son read it? [...] Critics who criticize Alito for being out of the "mainstream" are wrong. The truth is that the vast majority of this country still thinks that abortion is a pretty disgusting procedure, that there are better ways to address the needs of an unwed mother or an unplanned pregnancy. [...] It is imperative to prevent Senator Arlen Specter from becoming chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee next week, because he has stated that he would block U.S. Supreme Court and Court of Appeals judicial nominees who are pro-life. [...] Kerry was not telling the truth on August 7th when he stated that, "the President enacted a far-reaching ban on stem cell research shutting down some of the most promising work to prevent, treat, and cure Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, diabetes, AIDS, and so many other life threatening diseases." [...] Few know that Arizona's governor Janet Napolitano, who spoke at the Democratic National Convention Tuesday night, got around Arizona's abortion laws while Attorney General to ensure that a 14-year old girl who was over 6 months pregnant would be sent to Kansas for an abortion. [...] While no one will take anything away from Kerry's heroism during the war, his subsequent actions upon his return reveal an anti-American hostility or self-hatred worthy of scrutiny. [...] Arizona's liberal Democratic governor, Janet Napolitano, will never sign an informed consent bill, because she is a liberal ideologue. [...] Reflections on the thirty-first anniversary of Roe v. Wade. As a result of this despicable decision, our society has begun to unravel. We have seen situations where innocent human beings have been deprived of food and water simply because they weren’t perfect, because they were disabled, or because their husbands wanted them dead.
