Liberals, aided by their political representatives, the leftwing of the Democratic Party, have made Americans so self-conscious about being careful not to be racist or even appear to think racist thoughts or to even think of possibly violating someone’s civil rights, that the average American might ignore evidence of a terrorist plot simply to [...] Rush Limbaugh is the next target of Media Matters for America. The media is starting notice Duncan Hunter. The rest of the electorate will as well. The most important thing is whether Scooter Libby’s actions were legal. The American Library Association campaigns against the USA's PATRIOT Act, even as it provides justification for Castro's persecution of Cuban librarians. Democrats have gone from demanding Constitutional rights for Arab terrorists in court, to opposing Arab business owners buying a share of some terminals. The calls for an early departure from Iraq echo similar statements from the media during the Vietnam War. Of course David Letterman is a liberal. The many groups that coalesced to protest the execution of Tookie Williams did nothing for contract killer John Nixon. The chorus of disapproval about executing convicted murderer and gang founder Tookie Williams featured a lot of bad actors. There seems to be a complete lack of discretion motivated purely by politics, and not by concern for abuses of power or the safety of the American people. The Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation is a plaintiff, along with Red, White, and Blue Productions, and Vietnam veteran turned journalist Carlton Sherwood, in a defamation action against John Kerry and Tony Podesta. Most scientists do not concur with the “global warming increases hurricane intensity” theory. Baghdad Betty can be distinguished from Tokyo Rose for one very salient reason. Baghdad Betty does not broadcast from Iraq –she broadcasts from New York City. It’s troublesome to see Chris Matthews and others champion the cause of those in Iraq who are seeking to disrupt the upcoming election through terrorism. Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, mythologies that the Founders were irreligious or wanted to ban religion are considered fact. Probably not very much — especially about Donald Rumsfeld and the reconstruction of Iraq. Thomas Frank's book What's the Matter With Kansas helps show that liberals are the self-righteous, led by the self-important, for the benefit of the self-interested. Wealthy Democrats are heavily represented in the legal and communications industries, and the US Senate. |
