When government gets too powerful and oversteps its bounds of authority, the Constitution give us all a way to fight back.

Lately the left wing media pundits have been lamenting the inability of the Obama administration to enact policy. From health care to cap & trade; the administration's failure to move the nation quickly leftward has caused many to opine that the system is broken. Lose the consent of the governed, and you have lost the country. Thomas Jefferson and James Madison warned that if the federal government were to have the exclusive right to judge the extent of its own powers, its power would continue to grow. The 2010 election cycle presents a series of navigational hazards for incumbents and challengers of all political stripes. The limits placed on the federal government by the U.S. Constitution were meant to protect the rights of minority groups, not empower them to cancel out those of the majority. The government doesn't really care about airline security, which is why it should let the airlines take care of keeping terrorists off of their planes. Good government understands that it is best to have the loyalty of a strong, independent, and productive people. It is an earned loyalty based in large part on trust. A power intensive government does not trust the people, and eventually enslaves them. Today's Democrats are seeking to achieve just that. At bottom line, Barack. Obama was and is an empty suit. Fox News, along with Glenn Beck and his crew, has played a major vehicle in exposing this and other faults in the Obama administration, and in Congress. Government doesn't want the public to know the truth. Freedom of speech cannot and should not be absolute. You can't have an honest debate with a dishonest partner. If the various Czars exercise real power, shouldn't they be accountable to Congress. Play dirty with the voters and eventually they will play dirty back. The Michael Savage story is one of a bureaucrat chosen by quota who then chose a victim by quota. The liberal judiciary uses legal tricks to protect racial preferences, especially when it is the entity operating them. The executive branch has corrupted the legislative power through dramatic growth and usurped the people through the imposition of taxes and extreme debt. Blogging is the new journalism and there is a reason why journalists have fought for years to protect the anonymity of their sources. Randy Barnett's proposed amendment to the US Constitution to limit federal power is not the best solution to Barack Obama and government on steroids.
