Christians say “Jesus is Lord.” Moslems say “There is no God but Allah.” And English-speaking atheists now say “There is no evidence for God.” But are they correct? [...] Ayn Rand made a couple of fair points, but failed to grasp the deep longing most people have to live a noble life. They do not wish to live just for themselves. [...] The Obama administration's new HHS contraception mandate is an "attack on conscience" and "a direct assault on the religious freedom of individuals and institutions." America's Catholic bishops and others should be commended for fighting this mandate. [...] Iran has now threatened to close access to the Persian Gulf. China responded and said that would be perceived as aggression towards other nations. [...] Government demands we keep our Catholic Beliefs out of their realm yet forces their beliefs into ours. [...] The Muslim Brotherhood won about half of the seats in Egypt's lower house of parliament, and the more radical Salafists' Nour Party won a quarter of the seats. [...] The Washington Post is back to: Liberals = Smart and Conservatives = Dumb. Conservative Christians are "poor, educated and easily led." [...] In theory, it may beat commonly praised alternatives. But to what extent can we rely on it in practice? He stands for much of what our postmodern popular culture despises: sexual purity within the bonds of natural marriage, the sanctity of human life, selflessness, personal charity, humility and much, much more. [...] Conservative Christians are not conspiring to overthrow the Constitution and to replace it with rule by any particular religious denomination, and they do not did not believe that Americans should swear a loyalty oath to Jesus.
