After the dog and pony show put up by the President on February 25th he's now content to shove this progressive power grab down the collective throats of the American people, and damn the consequences to his party or the people. The scientists and their environmentalist cheerleaders really botched this one. What a difference a few years can make. It should come as no surprise that the People's Republic of Cambridge is mulling a proposal to ban meat from restaurant menus. No matter how one fudges the numbers or rationalizes about environmental benefits, green jobs require enormous government subsidies. Carbon emissions trading on the Chicago Climate Exchange peaked at $7 before crashing to $0.10 in October 2009. Given their antipathy to all human activity, if the Greens had their way, they would put up signs everywhere that would say, "Keep Out!" For Joe Romm and other environmentalists, it's time to execute the non-believers. Greenpeace actions threaten the livelihoods and lives of millions. A magnetic reversal would likely have a devastating effect on planet Earth. Dr. Rajendra Pachauri blames opposition to global warming on "powerful vested interests" — but the weather isn't cooperating either. So-called Green jobs depend on two of the most impractical and unreliable sources of electricity generation, solar and wind power. Senator Boxer is compounding the Climategate scandal with cover-up and obstruction. Copenhagen might mark the point in history where China supplanted the United States as the world's greatest power. The global warming zealots have invested so much of their time, energy, emotion, ego and reputations in the climate con that to relinquish it would be to relinquish themselves; to call it a lie is to call their lives a lie. Take it from Nancy Pelosi: the impact of global warming is not "gender-neutral." Women feel the consequences first. Perhaps the most important question that needs to be asked is why do so many scientists support the notion of manmade global warming, to the point that some are falsifying the data? Most likely it is because their funding is contingent upon promoting that viewpoint. Why can't you be more polite, and stop questioning our integrity and science? Senators John Barrasso and David Vitter are leading the charge against climate change hysteria. According to a Stanford University School of Medicine study, 1.2 million people (mostly in Africa) are alive who would have otherwise not been as a direct result of The President's Emergency Relief Plan for AIDS Relief. Get ready for the coming Global Environmental Health Crisis. The Economist, along with all the so-called scientific magazines and news outlets that have prostituted themselves to the global warming fraud, should issue an apology to their readers. Were he actually concerned with the best interests of this country, he would immediately empanel an investigative team to determine the truth of "climate change." The data manipulation and fraud stench is too strong to be ignored any longer. |
