The shocking depths to which Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have already descended in their obsessive drive to institute their metastasizing "nanny state" leaves little doubt as to the consequences America faces if they prevail. It doesn't matter if Obamacare is somehow "passed" by the House and sent to the White House for the President's signature. It is as dead as Marley's ghost. After the dog and pony show put up by the President on February 25th he's now content to shove this progressive power grab down the collective throats of the American people, and damn the consequences to his party or the people. Her parents' actions when she was five make her a hypocrite. Despite polls showing widespread opposition to Obamacare, the Democrats insist on enacting this legislation — in the name of the working class. Why did Barack Obama spend so much time talking at the "health care summit" and what does this tell us about him. The President's announcement of a Health Care Summit with Republicans is undoubtedly an election year trap. Here's the road map on how to navigate this issue successfully. Just when you think Democrats might get their imperious ways with national health insurance and imposing other Big Government excesses, along comes Republican Scott Brown. Against all political odds, he wins a special election in the bluest of blue states. It's the political upset of the decade. Just in time, too. With $1 trillion dollars in new spending, you would think there was enough money to establish an Office of Men's Health. Apparently the best way to "reform" healthcare is to make the rest of us pay for Nebraska's Medicaid program. Regardless of its specifics, if any so-called "healthcare reform" bill passes the Congress, it will be signed by Obama and invoked thereafter as cart blanche for an administration that has already mocked the limits of constitutional law in its takeover of the banks and the American auto industry. For at least two decades, proposals by the Social Security Administration and Congress to cut Medicare costs have come to naught. As total US debt begins to climb over 100% of our GDP, other nations will increasingly move away from the dollar. Republicans and others who decry the monetary costs of this contentious program inadvertently, and in spite of their protestations to the contrary, prove that their difference with the Democrats is one of degree, not of kind. Like Ahab and his men, Harry Reid & crew seem hell-bent on destroying one-sixth of our economy. If Obamacare is implemented, there will be a migration away from innovation in the United States and towards a focus on process: "Did you get to see a doctor?" or "Did you get to see a nurse practitioner?" instead of "Did you get well?" |
