Obama’s Lukewarm Support of Israel in Battling Terrorists Angers Many

rcltsatkisrlAs Palestinian terrorists rockets continue to rain down on Israel, targeting the Jewish population, President Barack Obama offered the help of the United States on Thursday “in negotiating a cease-fire to end escalating violence between Israel and Hamas.” But critics of the Obama administration believe that with an enemy seeking your destruction, only a coward or inept leader, such as Obama, would sit down to discuss peace, and they blasted the President’s lukewarm support of Israel.

According to Obama’s sycophants within the U.S. news media, during his phone conversation with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Obama claimed he supports Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks by Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other terrorist group in the Gaza Strip, but he also said the U.S. was willing to “facilitate a cessation of hostilities.”

“Who will the President send on this assignment? John Kerry, who accused Israel of practicing apartheid? Or Hillary Clinton, who accused the Israelis of being occupiers? Obama and his minions are lukewarm in their support of the Jewish state. Period,” claims a former Israeli police officer now working as a security specialist in the United States.

On the floor of the House of Representatives, Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., blasted Obama when he told his colleagues, “Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas openly united with the evil terrorist group, Hamas, and this very moment they are raining rockets down upon the innocent citizens of Israel. Half of all Israelis have sought cover in bomb shelters across their tiny country.”

“[T]he Obama Administration has had the reprehensible gall to praise Abbas as someone who is ‘committed to non-violence and…cooperation with Israel,’ and to further proclaim in an Israeli newspaper that: ‘Finally, peace is possible!’” said Franks.

“I thought nothing this President could say or do would surprise me anymore, but his flushed and breathless rush to embrace terrorists launching rockets at Israeli children is an unprecedented act of cowardice and betrayal,” Rep. Franks added.

“The ‘liberation of Palestine’ is widely recognized as a euphemism for the destruction of Israel. But the term ‘Palestinians,’ according to American-Israeli political commentator and journalist Sha’i ben-Tekoa, is itself a commonly used deception. The “Palestinians,” he argues, don’t really exist. They are an “invented” people whose purpose is to serve as the means by which the destruction of Israel and the Jews will ultimately be achieved,” said media critic Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media.

Kincaid noted that the president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, who is also the chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), did his doctoral work in the Soviet Union, at the Patrice Lumumba University. In the thesis Abbas offered the bizarre fantasy that there was no Holocaust and that the Jews murdered during World War II were actually killed by Zionists working with the Nazis.

“Given the extraordinary sudden turnabout in U.S. policy toward Israel under the Obama administration, I have become obsessed by the repressed 2003 videotape of Columbia Professor and Palestinian supporter Rashid Khalidi and Barack Obama. That tape — or so we are told — is ensconced in a safe at the Los Angeles Times building. In the current situation, its release by the paper is more important and newsworthy than ever,” wrote columnist Roger L. Simon.

“The Khalidi tape could be of tremendous significance in revealing the provenance of Obama’s views on the Middle East and the degree to which the public was misled on those views during the presidential campaign,” Simon wrote.
