PHOTOS: IC Visits CPAC 2015

I made plenty of my male friends jealous meeting pundit Michelle Fields.

I made plenty of my male friends jealous meeting pundit Michelle Fields. My cousin thinks we’re related. Not sure how I feel about that, since she’s rather good looking!

Nigel Farage

UKIP leader Nigel Farage told CPAC that he actually had a (private sector) job before running for office. Hej explained how a third party could actually take on two establishment parties.

Kevin Sorbo

My wife got back at me for the photos with Michelle Fields by getting a photo with conservative actor Kevin Sorbo. Most people probably didn’t realize this scifi actor is a conservative!

Senator Roy Blunt gave a wonderful tribute to Phyllis Schlafly at the Paul Weyrich awards dinner. He told us how she urged him to run for public office in the first place.

Foster Friess - Carly Fiorina

Philanthropist Foster Friess talks to American Conservative Union Foundation. Foster was witty and approachable to everyone, and Carly told us she is running for president!

Santorum

The neat thing about CPAC is the most famous political personalities in the country walk by you every few feet, and not only are they approachable but they let you take photos with them. Rick Santorum said hi as he walked by us having lunch.

Dennis Kucinich

We were looking for our friend Don Irvine, chairman of Accuracy in Media, and stopped when we thought we saw him being interviewed by the media. It wasn’t him, it was Dennis Kucinich who showed up at CPAC for a debate!

David Webb-me

My wife is the biggest fan of David Webb on Fox News. Also, his radio show on SiriusXM is one of the best ones on there.

David Clarke-me

Wisconsin Sheriff David Clarke was accessible to everyone and incredibly friendly, one of our favorite people we met. Move over, Sheriffs Arpaio and Babeu!

Townhall-Jonathan Garthwaite-me2

My wife was happy to run into the editor of Townhall, Jonathan Garthwaite, who first gave her a chance to write there.

Sean Reyes-me

We’d heard about Utah’s new Attorney General Sean Reyes and so were ecstatic to actually meet him. He’s the real deal, friendly, smart and CONSERVATIVE!

John Hawkins-me

The legendary John Hawkins of Right Wing News, the biggest conservative blogger ever who is always ahead of the curve – and the biggest sites – with social media.

Phyllis Schlafly

Phyllis Schlafly was the honored recipient at the annual Paul Weyrich Awards dinner. There were at least 25 video tribute speeches to her, but hers was the best, both witty and funny. The amusing part of the evening was that the people in the video tribute were almost all in the audience as well.

Good to see someone from our Arizona delegation! Rep. Trent Franks is pushing EMP legislation which we're grateful for. He's also about tied with Rep. David Schweikert for the most conservative members of Congress.

Ron Christie, a black man who is on the board of the American Conservative Union, told CPAC how Rep. Maxine Waters once took him aside and asked him why he is working for Republicans. She told him he is an Uncle Tom and a sellout and that only white people work for Republicans! Guess black people aren't allowed to think for themselves, according to the left.

Robert George told CPAC we can't just say "We are the party of Reagan." People nowadays don't remember him. How many in here were born after 1989? About one-third in the room raised their hands.

Rep Gohmert-us

By the time we met Rep. Louie Gohmert from Texas, we were feeling like the White House party crashers. He was really funny and thought my wife was giving him a dirty look at first!

The Benham brothers were a hoot once we recognized them sitting next to us at lunch.

Ned Ryun of American Majority told CPAC that someone needs to bridge the gap between the establishment and the grassroots. He also said no more pen and paper, we've got to go mobile. Get with it!
