What an odd nation this is, to wake up and read the words of a Chief Justice extolling the benefits of the handgun, recounting a fictional narrative of a homeowner pointing a handgun at a burglar while dialing a phone. There are many who will read the Justice’s narrative, and will have to relive the terror of the time a handgun was pointed at them, or a loved one, and a few, thanks to Mr. Scalia's imagination, will have to relive that terrible "pop," and the sight of a fellow student or loved one falling dead on the ground. I challenge Mr. Scalia or anyone to recount an instance where an assailant was interrupted by a homeowner brandishing a handgun, while simultaneously dialing a phone. Mr. Scalia and his supporters are living in a fairly-tale universe that those who've been touched by handgun violence know full well does not exist. Everyone but the Justices seem to know that handguns point one way, at the innocent, at the employer who just gave a poor review to an employee, at a teacher who is suddenly uttering a final prayer before falling dead before a classful of students, or at an anonymous man withdrawing funds from an ATM, who’ll bleed alone ‘till morning, when he’s found lifeless in a gutter. To render such a ruling, as those who've been shot or witnessed a shooting will attest, the High Court must be literally out of its mind.

I submitted legitimate allegations of illegal electronic surveillance of myself possibly being conducted by members of the U.S. Marshals Service to the U.S. Marshals Service Office of Inspection. I received a document from the former Chief Inspector of the U.S. Marshals Service Office of Inspection stating that they would conduct an official investigation but "I would not be entitled to know the outcome due to privacy issues" not reflected by statute of law in violation of federal statute Title 50 > Chapter 36 > Subchapter I > § 1810 Civil liability.
After waiting over a period of thirty days I received no further communication from the U.S. Marshals Service at which time I contacted the office of the Hon. Senator Charles E. Schumer. His New York office submitted a request to the former Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legislative Affairs U.S. Department of Justice requesting their direct response.
Hon. Senator Charles E. Schumer later received a response from the Chief of the U.S. Marshals Service Office of Congressional Affairs which contained false statements in violation of Title 18 > Part I > Chapter 47 § 1001 Statements or entries generally & Title 18 > Part I > Chapter 73 §§§ 1510, 1515, 1519 Obstruction of Justice. At which time he stated that the U.S. Marshals Service had not and would not investigate my allegations contradicting the previous letter from the U.S. Marshals Service internal affairs division. This was and is in violation of federal statute of law as well as U.S. Department of Justice policies & procedures. Title 18 > Part I > Chapter 19 > § 371 Conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud United States.
Thus making his statements absent of a rational connection between the facts found and the choice made. A clear error of judgment; an action not based upon consideration of relevant factors and so is arbitrary, capricious, an abuse of discretion or otherwise not in accordance with law or if it was taken without observance of procedure required by law 5 USC 706(2)(A). This was and is in violation of federal law as well as U.S. Department of Justice policies & procedures.
How is it legally possible that the Chief of the U.S. Marshals Service Office of Congressional Affairs contradicted the former Chief Inspector of the U.S. Marshals Service Office of Inspection in writing three times. Twice to a U.S. Senator who sits on the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime & Drugs which has oversight of the U.S. Marshals Service & once to a U.S. Congressman & no corrective action has been taken whatsoever?

Subject: 2009 NDAA Ignores Widows and Disabled Retirees

As you are aware the 2009 National Defense Authorization Act (HR 5658) has been reported out of committee and is #413 on the Union Calendar. As with previous NDAA the House Armed Services Committee mark up the 2009 NDAA (HR 5658) does not address or correct the following issues –
-375,000 military retirees with less than 50% disability denied CRDP (Concurrent Retirement Disability Pay, 10 US Code 1414)
-188,000 Chapter 61 medical disability retirees with less than 20 years denied CRDP (Concurrent Retirement Disability Pay, 10 US Code 1414)
The 2008 NDAA did extend CRSC (Combat Related Special Compensation) to a yet to be determined number of Chapter 61 retirees (possibly as many as 40,000) with less than 20 years of service.
- 61,000 widows continue to be denied full relief from SBP/DIC "widow's tax"
The 2008 NDAA did authorize $50/month "special allowance" to be incremented $10/year for 5 years. This pittance is not much help to restore an offset that approximates $900-$1000/month. The shallowness of this gesture is exemplified by its being valid only during the period October 1, 2008 through March 1, 2016.
Subject to budget constraints, I consider elimination of the "widow's tax" must be your FIRST PRIORITY. The Congress has cheated these brave ladies too long.
I strongly urge your interest and support to correct these long standing inequities. Please confer with your leadership and your colleagues to correct the above inequities in the 2009 National Defense Authorization Act.
Please advise me of your intentions.

Why is immigration NOT a major issue in this election? Our border areas are plagued with crime, vandalism, and discarded trash. A "guest worker" program would act as a magnet attracting bigger problems. Such a program would include guest terrorists, guest drug dealers, guest gang members, Hezbollah guests, and millions of poor guests. We have not been successful in dealing with our own poor. Do we need millions more?
In addition to the above, we are importing diseases that were once nearly eradicated here but are now on the way back: TB, leprosy, polio, dengue fever, malaria, hepatitus, and typhoid. Some of these have even entered our blood supply.
Our government, in spite of the eyewash about fences and guardsmen on the border, is, with the cooperation of the Mexican government, encouraging illegal entry of aliens rather than protecting the American citizen. Is their purpose the destruction of the middle class? Is it the destruction of the meaning of "citizenship" so that we can be merged into a regional government like the European Union? Julian Huxley, the first Director General of UNESCO ( the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization ), wrote in Unesco: Its Purpose and Philosophy, in 1947: "The task before UNESCO … is to help the emergence of a single world culture." He proposes the synthesis of capitalism with communism, and Christianity with Marxism: were we told we were getting this when we joined the U.N.?
What do we see happening today? Is the worldwide proliferation of degenerate pop culture part of this? Is the historical ignorance of our young people, created by UNESCO's control of our educational system, part of this plan?
Today we see a great mixing of the world's populations. America's borders are open to tens of millions of Latinos and others. Middle Easterners have flooded into Western Europe, creating a cultural mix. Undeniably, Huxley's plan is underway. Multiculturalism is the mantra of the establishment and diversity is defended by "political correctness."
Do we care enough to restore our republic and the Western culture that created the most advanced, most prosperous and most envied nation in the history of the planet? Or should we let the elite that empowers the U.N. destroy our heritage of civilized culture and liberty? Will it be Washington and Madison or Marx and Huxley, America or world government under the U.N.?

In case no one has noticed Israel is having it's 60th Rebirth Anniversary this year, and as a nation we should celebrate with them, even though so many them.
Does anyone realize that most nations in that part of the world suppress freedom of speech, treat women like cattle while Israel has had 10 women cabinet ministers, and now has 17 women Knesset ministers, and 34% of all their judges are women? Other nations around them punish any one who dares speak out against their government, while Israel stands on its values of freedom and equality?
There are many more good reasons such as education for all, a strong stand for human rights and if you check the linage of MANY of our public figures from Movie Stars to Scientists you will find they are Jewish and proud of it.
And besides when did it become all right to some one for their ethnicity, whether it be black, white or Jewish?
Also Israel is one of our few allies in the Middle East who don't support ists and they are literally on the front line in the battle against ists, and have been for years. If we don't help Israel defeat them there, they will soon come here.
So let's give a big cheer for Israel.

Horse Owners and Advocates to Converge on Congress
Proponents of federal legislation to ban horse slaughter in the United
States are gathering in Washington, D.C. on March 4th and 5th to lobby for
the passage of the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (S.503 /
HR.311).
Calling the event “Americans Against Horse Slaughter Week,”
nearly 100 people from all parts of the country will press for passage of
pending legislation that would place a federal ban on the transport and
slaughter of horses for human consumption.
In 2007, the last 3 horse foreign owned slaughter plants operating in the
U.S. were closed by state laws. However, horse slaughter plants could open
in other states where such laws do not exist. The closure of the American
plants has also resulted in the increased transport of American horses for
slaughter to Mexico and Canada. Recent investigations into the slaughter
practices in Mexico have alarmed many.
“Texas and Illinois took action to shut down the plants,”
pointed out one of the event organizers Julie Caramante, “but as a
consequence of the failure to pass a federal bill, there has been an
increase in horses going to Mexico where slaughter cruelty is much
worse.”
The barbarity faced by horses inside Mexican slaughter plants has been
documented by a report in the Houston Chronicle and by an undercover video
released by the Humane Society of the United States. Horses are repeatedly
stabbed in the neck until their spinal cords are severed leaving them
quadriplegic. They are then slaughtered while fully conscious.
“It is urgent that we get the federal legislation enacted into
law,”said Caramante. “Every week Congress delays a thousand more
horses face this horrible fate in Mexico and Canada.”
A similar bill, introduced in the Republican controlled 109th Congress,
was almost passed in the 2006 when, the House voted for passage by a wide
bipartisan margin of 263-146. However, the session ended without a Senate
vote.
The 110th Congress voted unanimously to let the bill out of committee in
the Senate, but it is currently being blocked by Senator Larry Craig of
Idaho. Craig was recently admonished by the Senate Ethics Committee for
improperly using $213,000 of his campaign fund to pay legal expenses
related to his arrest for soliciting an undercover officer in a
Minneapolis men’s room.
Recent actions by the Texas, Illinois and South Dakota legislatures
blocked horse slaughter in those states. “In every case, they heard
from ten of thousands of Americans,” said Caramante. She went on to
cite a Public Opinion Strategies poll funded by billionaire philanthropist
T. Boone Pickens, which showed that 69% of Americans want horse slaughter
banned.
“Americans don’t want horse slaughter” Caramante summed up.
“Our numbers are growing and more people are joining each day. And
those who can’t go to Washington will be calling Congress to finish
what the states started. We are not going away.”

McCain–NEVER! For various reasons, especially the war(s).
Obama–Change? Hope? What has this guy ever accomplished? What will he change? I know one thing, with his proposal to increase spending by $287 billion/year, he'll certainly bring on a recession of epic proportions much faster than anyone else. I guess that is change that I hope never happens.
Hillary–Jesus help me, but I'm considering voting for her because her spending isn't quite as bad as Obama and she has Bill's experience backing her up.
Is this really what it's come to? I have to vote for Hillary? I'm female and would love to see a female president, but not a socialist like her. My only hope is that Bill will reign in her socialist tendencies, but good GOD they are so corrupt!
Please help me. Please. I'm voting for Hillary and I believe that it will give me cancer or some other fatal disease. Our country is screwed.

The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (S.311 in the Senate; HR 503
in the House) has garnered enough support to pass in the 110th Congress.
We have been working tirelessly to educate the public and our legislators
about the inhumane transportation to slaughter and the barbaric of our
horses in Canada and Mexico. And 75%, if not more, of the American public
are in agreement with these bills and want to stop this horror that ends
with our horses on the dinner plates of wealthy Europeans.
So what is stopping the passage? One obstacle to passing the senate bill
is Senator Larry Craig who has started a crusade to block the passage of
S311 and will not even let it come to the floor for a vote. The same Larry
Craig who vowed to resign because of his indiscreet behavior. The same
Larry Craig who then decided he was above it all and that his behavior was
beyond reproach. He has sunk to not only a morale low amongst his
peers, but now also has no respect for an American icon, our horse.
Speak out to you legislators. Ask them to do whatever they can to
override the hold Craig and a handful of others have placed on S.311.
They are attempting to put in play a disastrous spiral, wherein thousands
of our horses will continue being inhumanly transported and slaughtered.
We do not eat horse meat in this country and we should not be butchering
American horses to be sold as a foreign delicacy.

Does death penalty work?
In 2002 Americans were very happy because they had only 16.638 criminal homicides: and they were right because from 1984 to 1993 criminal homicides were 22.000 per year. Au contraire, in the same 2002, in Italy we were very afraid because, with a population that is grosso modo one fifth of the American one, we had 638 criminal homicides, and we were very concerned about it, even if those 638 were less than one third the homicides we had in 1991. Americans love to think the drop is a benefit of the death penalty. We cannot agree because we are a death penalty free country. (In Europe this punishment is strictly forbidden and the majority of the world is abolitionist).
Actually Italy ended capital punishment in 1888 and had it again only under fascism. In those sad years the homicide rate was five times bigger that we have now, and, in the twenty years following the definitive end of the death penalty (1948-1968), the homicide rate dropped from 5 to 1,4. Something like this happened in Canada in the years that followed the end of capital punishment in 1976. Curiously, in the same year, the Supreme Court gave green light to the “new and improved” American death penalty and, with the shooting of Gary Gilmore (17th January 1977): the hangman was back in business and the experiment begun. Now, after more than 1.000 human sacrifices, we can say with Justice Blackmun: “the death penalty experiment has failed”.
Death penalty is an enormous waste of lives, money, time and resources. This cancer is destroying the American justice. It is not a deterrent and kills the poor, the weak, the mad, the illiterate, and the black. In the thousand killed some were innocent, many mad and much many not guilty of a capital crime, but quite all will be alive, and some free, if they have had a competent counsel. Hangman states are not in a better situation of states without death penalty. Sooner or later Americans will realise that death penalty is and immoral, indecent, illegal, expensive, stupid, cruel, dangerous, racist, classist, not working violation of human rights.

Federal Government steals our income to support an affiliation of private
businesses across the nation.
According to its annual report, in 2005-2006 Planned Parenthood, abortion
provider to the world, received $345.1 million in clinic income, $212.2
million in donations, and $305.3 million funding from taxpayers, from you.
Total Planned Parenthood income reached $902.8 million while total
expenses (including salaries) came to $847 million, leaving a profit of
$55.8 million. Without your money, abortion would not be profitable.
Perhaps someday scientists will discover the gene that causes adults to
abort little children. Any baby found carrying this gene could then be
aborted.
