If I was Dale Coba, the man who made the men of Stepford Connecticut very Happy

Dale “Diz” Coba: It’s nothing like you imagine, just a, another stage. Think about it like that, and there’s nothing to it.

Joanna Eberhart: Why?

Dale “Diz” Coba: Why? Because we can.  We found a way of doing it, and its just perfect.  It’s perfect for us and perfect for you.

Dale Coba, the main villain in the book and the original movie version of The Stepford Wives, was successful in creating the perfect replica of fembots that would be not only loyal and obedient to their husbands, but be the perfected Complementarian that their flesh and blood counterpart refused to be.  Regardless of what you think of The Stepford Wives, at least the ones in which the men won out in the end, I would like you to read the following as I step into the shoes of Dale Coba aka “Diz” (or the scriptwriter of the 1975 movie since Coba was never in the 2004 one) and really explain my reasoning to Joanna Eberhart to what I am doing for the men of Stepford, Connecticut.  I will go with the movie version since its where Coba corners and confronts Joanna.  Well here goes?

I have to apologize about my manners when I was over at your house for our meeting.  I should have been a little more discreate if not polite.  I admit I was a bit too honest (has a short laugh).  One reason why I have never married.  Yes, the woman rebel they say.  No Gods, No Masters they say, but even that turns out to be false in the end.

If you believe in the Bible, in which you still have a mass group of people that still do, you realize that women were created to be the man’s helpmate…not compete with the men but rather to sacrifice their own needs and keep house, while the husband makes a living and take the lead.  Have you forgotten about the current Jesus Movement so-called?  Some of these hippies decided to get that little old-time religion but mixed with rock and roll.  Still might be healthy for their health and mind.

Now getting back to the subject at hand, the wife also stays home to procreate and take care of that very offspring.  Now how many children should a couple have, you ask?  Well as many as God himself believes you should be having, regardless if that five, ten 15, 20?  It all depends on what you think your God should have.   After all the Bible says that you should be fruitful and multiply, and it also says that women will be saved through child baring.  In fact, they are saved by dying to themselves, rather going for their personal desires.  Yes, many women over the years lost their lives to pregnancy and likely have indeed gotten redeemed by their creator.  Besides, some of these babysiters…they can be the lousiest sitters…not all of course…but the kids these days…I have doubts
(Note:  I Don McCullen had lousy sitters myself).

Granted, the arrangement I have created for the men of Stepford will hinder on the creation of large families…unless of course they already had a large family before coming here to Stepford.  Still, it is such a shame that the highest court in the land decided that abortion was fine and dandy.  It really is about being able to kill the offspring within women, thinking that it is no big deal…and overtime it will be no different than killing babies that are already born…but that has been done before.

Certain women claim that Eve was framed.  I would tell them that personally, I feel that Eve was the biggest villain in the Bible.  Sure, you had Jezebel, Delilah, Herodias, Athaliah…some say Lot’s Wife is among them…but none of them were was evil as Eve was.  The devil is not dumb, he knows that the woman can be key if not the weapon to his plan to destroy the Garden of Eden.  Adam apparently was not paying attention to his wife and the devil took the form of garter snake and told Eve which she wanted to hear.  She took the fruit and ate it, and Adam was too late to stop her…but he needed her…so knowing what will happen, he ate the forbidden fruit as well.  Thus Paradise Lost.  To this day, women have been a weapon against God.  If you really know who these women rebels really were, look at the ones who are really unhappy…if not mentally disturbed and beyond help.

What I am doing may be a sin, but I am doing what I can to maintain social order…and Joanna…I do like making people happy…in this case…I am making the MEN of Stepford happy.

After that I go back to what was said in the movie.

You’re a very good subject, perhaps the best we had, you were brighter than most.  Do you mind if I make a call?

Then Coba gives his “what if the roles were reversed” spiel, in which he says to Joanna; would like some man telling you who great you are…regardless of how you looked?  He calls off the dogs, letting the men of Stepford know that he has things handled.

Well…its all there is…so why don’t we get it over?

And the movie plays out as Joanna runs right towards the replication of her bedroom, and her robot duplicate that likely strangles her…and has replaced her in the Supermarket ballet scene that wraps up the movie.  And husband Walter lives happily ever after.

My mother bought into the ideals of feminism and empowerment but even she saw how it can go too far.  Truth be told it has.  For someone like me, it has become difficult for me to settle down.  I was not ready for a relationship when I was in middle and high school.  That came later, but that only caused confusion for them and for me.   That is the truth.

I do agree that the man should provide and care for his wife.  But I am becoming more convinced day by day that a woman with little to no power is a woman of virtue.  Call it slavery all you want, but being depended on your spouse than some strange in some big company or worse the government welfare state is what God intended.  On the other hand, men are getting emasculated and forced to act more like women.  Plus, certain men that have not been able to settle down may be a danger to themselves and to other women…especially the younger women.

Knowing myself, I would have benefited from a woman that would cook and clean like crazy.  I admit that I am not as good in those roles.  Sure, there are men that can a better job than I can, but the point is that women according to the Bible is to keep house.  I can see why Kevin Swanson supports the concept of the family economy.  Denying women suffrage may sound mean, but it kept them depended on a husband and kept her heart humble and someone who loved her husband and children.  Women who get too much power, somehow turn out to be ugly in one form or other, and have taken such abuse from so many of them.  They were not my mother, and she did not understand them.

So, are the likes of Lori Alexander (i.e. The Transformed Wife) and John McArthur off their rockers regarding complementarism?  Are they hypocrites?  Perhaps, and granted it was and still is a woman (Rachel Alexander) who runs Intellectual Conservative who I have nothing but respect for and gave me the platform to write this.  Still, I ask the ladies, what does Titus 2:3-5 say?  Why does God want women to submit to husbands?  Why does God what women to love their husbands and children?  While there were men who wanted to destroy Judeo-Christian Culture…the woman rebels who hated God’s Law are also guilty of pushing sexual immorality if not more.

There are times I am tempted to hate women as a whole, while the zeitgeist tells women to seek empowerment and not a humbled heart.  There are exceptions yes (like Rachel) and I don’t mind an exchanged of ideals, but I do need some good male role models that are better than my father…who admitted that he came up short.  My mother had to be the strong one…like it or not.

I respect certain women who are conservatives’ hands down, but still…why does God want women at home?

Food For Thought.
